Pique rejected Madrid offer

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona central defender and Spanish international Gerad Piqué (22) has rejected an approach by new Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.

Pérez, who was at the time preparing his bid for the presdency, would have contacted the entourage of the player two months ago to sound him out on a transfer to Real Madrid. Piqué, who has a buyout clause of 50 million euro°, made clear that joining Madrid is not an option for him.

Hi Pep, I have a request. I have been following Barca for past 4 years, and http://fcbtransfers.blogspot.com/ for past 1 year. I keep visiting this site for like 10 times on daily basis. Most of my friends here are EPL fans and they have least respect for La Liga, whereas I am an anti-EPL guy more coz I love Liga style of football. Being a Barca fan, I wish to know the entire history of FC Barcelona considering the fact that its more than 100years old. I know that I can google it out, but if you can provide me a reference site where I can get these info, or may be if you can publish an article which covers History of FCB, then that will be really great. Ultimately, there is nothing compared to litsening from horse's mouth itself..Regards NC

You're asking a lot there, NC.

I do'nt really have time for that right now, trying to keep on track with the latest news, so for now I would advise you to google a round a bit and visit the offical site of the club.

We'll have some blog restructuring from next month on and if possible, we'll try to focus more on the history of the club so fans also can have this historical perspective.

hey pep, how old are you?

Thanks Pep for your suggestion.

I understand this blog caters the latest information on FCB to Cules. But like you mentioned in the last statement, it is very true, coz we all should be aware of where we come from. For the time being, I will stick with the official website.

Looking forward to a wonderful season from FCB and fcbtransfer.blogspot. Hope we continue or even better our performance than the last year's. Thanks once again Pep and team for such a wonderful place to read about FCB. Best Regards, NC

Perez is like a dog(apologies - if at all u ever care) trying to get back despite being kicked at several times. if he asks for some player in our squad, then they can try to pull a Figo. but he's asking a Catalan. damn this is funny. i hope everyone remembers wat Pique told after the Spain Turkey game(i guess) where he scores the only goal of the game at the Bernabeau n said "i hope this is not my last goal at this stadium". the dude is awesome!
