Barcelona closely following Belgian talent Hazard

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona is interested in Lille attacking midfielder and Belgian international Eden Hazard (18).

A Barcelona source is quoted as saying: "It's a player who makes you fall in love after only having seen him play for five minutes."

Barcelona would have started following him after seeing him in action at the European Under-17 Championships in 2007. Manchester, Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly already made formal bids for Hazard but Lille doesn't want to let him go and the player prefers to stay at least one more year in France.

I would surely like to get my countryman. he has the skills to play with barça. They should take
the (very small) risk and buy him now for 15m and loan him out for 2 years. pre seasons with barça ofcourse!If they wait madrid will end up paying 40 m for him..

He got potential, but I think Hernanes is a safer option for this position...He reminds of me Steven Gerrard...

Hernanes is a defensive midfielder I think. Hazard is more a type like iniesta or messi. AM or wing.

I'm from Lier, near Antwerp!

Isn't he the one that said he prefers Real over Barca?

He's a Zidane (and therefore a Madrid) fan.

Is that the worst clips vid ever?
All he did was come on as sub and get fouled.

@Jordy
Hernanes is not a defensive midfielder he is a Box to Box player like Gerrard, and fits perfectly with Barcelona 4-3-3 style

Don't see anything that special,sorry to say.He either got fouled or lost the ball,we need investment on the left wing.Wait a sec though, what is the deal with B team Jeffren,saw him in preseason 2008,looked very good on the left to me.

this video doesn't represent his quality. Look up some of his performances from this season like the match against Lyon where he was phenomenal.

He is extremely talented, not yet good enough but ina few years time he will be a star for a top club.

Also don't forget that he has won young player of the year this season in France, in a league that is filled with young promising players.
