Meeting with agent Henrique planned next week

Catalan sports paper Sport claims Marcos Malaquias, the agent of Bayer Leverkusen central defender and Barcelona loan out Henrique (22), will meet with Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain on Wednesday to hear first hand about the plans of the club for next season.

It is generally believed that the Brazilian defender will start the pre-season with Barcelona and that then later in the summer a decision on his future will be made.

Great first half of the season, int he second half he went a little down with his team and also had some injuries. I think he's more what Guardiola wants compared to Caceres.

Well, 3 young defenders + Botia and Muniesa who waiting for their chances and 3 veterans..
It makes it 6 first team centrebacks+ maybe another who is maybe comming..

And remember there is just 2 spots

Send Cáceres on a Loan and maybe Milito on a 6 month loan to Argentina, depends on how bad he is.

I actually think now may be a good time to sell Milito. He has had allot of injuries since his move from Zaragoza. He works hard and is a good team player but I think we should sell him now while he still has some real value.

True, true. But we should sell someone though. If Caceres isn't the one then sell him,not really a fan of Marquez, makes crucial blunders, but I guess his experience is needed.

Marquez starts the counter attacks with his vision and passing. Maybe we can sell him in a few years but he is still useful now. Pique is really starting to become the new Marquez with his passing though...

Milito should be back to full fitness in a month or so. He has less than 2 years left on his contract. Either we sell him now while we can get 5-10 million euro for him or possibly lose him for nothing. We have more than ample cover for Milito particularly if Henrique returns from loan. Barca should not be in a position where our player contracts wind down and we are held to ranson or have to sell players on the cheap.

If it is one criticism I have of this management is that we need to be more decisive with player contracts.
