Barcelona presidential candidate working on Cesc transfer

Madrid sports tabloid As claims that former Barcelons sports vice-president Sandro Rosell, who will be a candidate in next year's presidential elections, is working on the transfer of Arsenal midfielder and Spanish international Cesc Fàbregas (22).

Rosell would be discretely negotiating on possible transfers and Cesc would be one of the main names on his list. The Catalan midfielder, whose contract at Arsenal expires in 2014, would like to return to Barcelona after the World Cup in 2010.

Then vice-president Rosell worked hard back in 2003 to get a first option on Cesc if Arsenal would decide to sell the player (read more here).

He said he wouldn´t turn down an offer from Madrid (or something along those lines) so I don´t really want him. Plus we couldn´t use him with Xavi and Iniesta. Not to mention we already have good talent going through the ranks that could play there.

whatever. cesc is not exactly endearing himself to fans with his recent comments to media. maybe i'll cheer when he comes maybe not. but for sure i'll cheer marc crosas when he returns. i like how hes more respectful of his old club than some so called big star :P

a question plz guys:can laporta run 4 the election in 2010 like having a second tenure or no he isn't alought?

thank you.

Yeah, get Crosas back!
I don't know how to react about a possible Cesc transfer. On the one hand, he's a great player, but on the other, we have Xavi and Iniesta, who are both better than him. I also don't like the version of buying our own youth players for an incredible amount of money...

I don't really see the problem with Iniesta and Xavi.

That's two positions, so basically they could all play two games out of three. With Iniesta possibly also able to play on the left and not taking into account injuries.

i agree, fabregas has made himself an ass with the madrid comments.

We dont want him, let him go to madrid. And to anurag no laporta cannot run but he is endorsing somebody from this current board to run for president so hopefully the project will continue smoothly.

Why are wasting time/money on him, spend wisely please.Spend only on the positions we need,we really don't want to offset the harmony on the field.

gotta changed his attitude,i thought rosell was getting aguero as his main target, if aguero doesn't leave this year i think he would be a much better signing than cesc.

It's dissapointing what Cesc said about the possible transfer to Madrid!looks like he turned into a bitch in england! he can go and be the best friend of gaylord cristiano!

If he even considers signing for Madrid - let that ungrateful piece of sh*t join them. I could care less. I read one quote about Pique the other day "he would swim back to join Barcelona" - that's the attitude I've been missing from Cesc. It's a privilege to wear our shirt. It freaks me out. Iniesta is more of a Catalan than you are Cesc. Let him join RM and when they come to play us in the Nou Camp we give them another beating.

WOW you guys really need to re-read his quotes. Your demonizing him over silly quotes that you have misinterpreted. He answered stupid questions from shit stirring reporters. How can u objectively gather any type of impression from him from quotes selectively chosen?

(From:http://www.oleole.com/blogs/arseblog/posts/hook-line-and-sinker--cesc039s-words-absolutely-fine-with-me)

For example: They ask him straight out - 'Would your family understand if you signed for Real Madrid'. His answer:

Of course they would understand because they love me, they want me to be happy and what's best for me. Whatever club I went to they'd support me. My family will always be there for me. They are always by my side.

What else could he have said? He's being neutral becasue its the professional thing and he's on international duty.

Also to those questioning his identity, he is more Clue then any of you so stop hate bashing him because he's going to end up at Barca one way or another.
