Carrer de Corsega said...: I have been reluctant to bring this up, because I don't want to turn one of the best football blogs into a music one, but I FUCKING hate how our season is associated with Coldplay music.

I mean, we make our own players, while Coldplay can't make their own music. They steal all their music from Radioheads and R.E.M.s; sounds like a madridista to me! It's antithetical to our philosophy to say the least!

Their music is for American teenagers who listen to the song in the background while buying khaki pants from GAP, before going to a Starbucks to listen to the same song on their jukebox, and that is after driving and listening to their CD in the car! In other words, they are the prototypical corporate musicians, yet their product is associated with a club that has never put advertising for money on their jersey.

I'm sure there are a lot of fans that are happy with the choice, as is our coach who played that in the locker all the time, but I personally wished that the soundtrack associated with our success was on the same quality level as our achievements.; 01 June, 2009

I'm glad that people here have a decent taste in music, too. If I were to suggest a new and soft English song to the team, it would probably be Reckoner by Radiohead. Pep is the best reckoner on any bench now, and I like the "dedicated to all you; all human beings" line because the way that Barca played this season was a great gift to all who watched!

regardless of the roots or the real intended meaning of any song or album - it's really all about what a person feels or thinks for him/herself when listening or associating to a track.
