Picture of the day: Touré

Barcelona gave Yaya Touré the permission to take the Champions League trophy to his home-country on Monday. The player had promised that he would offer the trophy to his compatriots if he would become the first Ivory Coast player to win the Champions League.

Touré, who was escorted by three bodyguards hired by the club, drove through the streets of the Ivorian capital Abidjan with the trophy and also visiited the presidential palace.

You can see his brother Kolo on the left. Should ask him to come back to Barca with the Cup!! :)

If Yaya Toure ever wants to leave to play with his brother, Barca should just but Kolo. They want another good CB and they want to make sure Yaya stays. I'm just saying this though, Yaya looks like he was meant for the English Premier League! In the semi first leg against Chelsea, Ballack and and Essien were complaining occasionally that Yaya was too aggresive. In La Liga, you can tell that Yaya has to restrict himself so much because whenever he touches someone, it's a foul. Man, La Liga really needs to get a little bit more physical, I mean the Serie A is more physical now. And more people dive in La Liga than any other league. I might sound harsh but in every game, the players dive then yell like crazy when they don't win the foul and now the refs are making it worse by calling fouls for the slightest touch. Barca doesn't have any divers besides Alves but every team has at least one diver.

By the way, I'm a die-hard Barca Fan

yo anony.. football was not meant to be played physical. it should remain graceful like spanish football.

in england its physical because they suck at it. they genuinely suck at it.

last year spain and this year barca have proven that there is still place for technical football in this world.

so cool. do CL winning clubs do that for their foreign players or is it just barca?

anony, in la liga they play pure football unlike in bpl, thats their trademark, why change that? i like the flair and precision passing..bpl's physical game and high balls is sleep inducing. *yawnnn*

But you all have missed anons point. Too many divers in the Liga and they dont want any form of contact. If you dont want contact, go play table tennis or tennis. I am not in favour of the rugby tackles, but Liga divers irritate life out of me. SAD!!!
