The medical staff of the Spanish football federation has confirmed after new tests today that Barcelona player Andrés Iniesta (25) has torn a muscle in his thigh.
Iniesta is expected to be out for the next six to eight weeks, which means that he won't be able to take part in the friendly game against Azerbaijan on Tuesday 9 June and in the Confederations cup that will be played later this month.
Iniesta torn a quadriceps muscle on the front of his right thigh during the league game against Villarreal on Sunday 10 May and although he played the Champions League final against Manchester United on Wednesday 27 May, he has never fully recovered from that injury (read more here).

as pep has said.they told him to play with one foot in the final.iniesta sure is undevalued player.he is one of my favorites
Played a great game in the final without being fully fit. Incredible. Hope he gets better soon.
hope he gets past this annoying injury. we should leave him out of preseason matches so he can recover fully. pepe is also gonna give him the messi treatment of protecting him alot.
let us pray that it doesnt become chronic. He should get a statue outside Camp Nou, amazing is Iniesta.
Even Iniesta is just a human (believe or not!!) All he needs is rest now...and he's ready to dominate when new season starts
