Barcelona keeping an eye on Mata

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona is monitoring Valencia left wing attacker and Spanish international Juan Manuel Mata (21).

Barcelona isn't planning to pay the 40 million euro buyout clause of the player but if Valencia would put Mata for sale because of their economic situation, Barcelona could try to sign the Spaniard. The paper also reports that Mata is represented by his father, who is a FIFA agent and who is the representative in Spain of Brazilian sports marketing agency Traffic.

Leave Mata at Valencia itself. Get Villa and Ribery.
Casew Close.
We dont need another youngster at Barcelona. We already got Pedro and Gai Assulin to play the sub role for the wingers next season.

this clip seems to be more silvas than matas. nearly involved into every action, also excellent passes.
think that mata has much more to offer than this clip shows. he's talented, not difficult to overlook. but don't know if he's the right man.
bout pedro. mata is younger than him and already a starter, as i don't believe that pedro will become ever a great player, maybe average. nor is he anymore at a age, or never was when he came up, to speak about a talent

don't we have enough talent of our own for that position?

Like the post sais:
Lets go for Mata IF Valencia puts him for sale for a resonable price. He is a good player, and I think we should go for him if we have a chance to get him cheep(-ish).

I have one off-topic question. How come guys like Mata or Busquets are not playing in the U21 championship. I saw the England squad and saw players like Walcot, Agbonlahor and Richards all playing for their country. Aren't there any other Barca player who participate on the tournament?

@ koko=barca

Mata and Busquets are in South Africa with the Senior national team for the Confederations Cup. Bojan is in the U21 championship.

I know that. But wouldn't be better if they play on the U21 since they will not get too many chances to play.
