Barcelona still looking for Gamper opponent

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona is still looking for an opponent for the Joan Gamper trophy (read more here).

Since Laporta came to power in 2003, the tournament has returned to gain more importance and after Boca Juniors, AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and again Boca Juniors last year, the club is looking for a new prestigious opponent.

Barcelona wants to find a deal with a top team from Europe or South America and it cannot be excluded that the opponent team will be one of the clubs Barcelona is holding transfer talks with and that the pre-season game could be included in a transfer deal. The game for the Gamper Trophy will be played on 18 August, between the two games for the Spanish Super cup against Athletic Bilbao.

It will nice if Barca played against a Brazilian team like Corithians (Ronaldo), or Sao Paulo (Hernanes). Just to see those guys in action against Barca :)

What about Rive Plate or Palmeiras, Sao Paolo?

I don't know about River Plate because they already played an Argentinian team (Boca) but Palmeiras is a good choice too :)

The reason i said Sao Paulo because Hernanes is with them, and like i said earlier it will interesting to see him how he plays against european competition :)

I'd like a clash with Gunners (Arsenal), Chelsea, Liverpool or Bordeaux... Could be good practice for upcoming season..
