Txiki met with agent Kun Aguero this week

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain met on Thursday morning with Arturo Canales, the agent of Atlético Madrid forward and Argentinian international Sergio 'Kun' Agüero (21).

The paper says that the meeting could mean that Agüero cannot be excluded from the list of possible transfer targets of Barcelona for both the centre forward as the left wing position (read more here). Canales, who is the representative in Spain of sports marketing agency IMG, is also the agent of Barcelona defender Piqué and could become the new agent of Barcelona striker Bojan.

best striker possible. great technique, strong like a bull. devastition shot, seeks space behind the defenders.works hard too.
1 negative remark: short guy and we can't let him play 70 matches. That doesn't need to be a problem because we can give bojan or henry time in the center. As long as we have henry I would get him as a striker. but afterwards is see him evolving to a left wing striker.

aguero definitely is a good striker but as proven he is best supporting others most of forlan goals came from ageuro assist and has a few of his own 20 to be precise so i opt to have him as a left winger if we fail to get other targets.

there is something about barcelona few may realize but we always have an era of class superstars from one county, once it was dutch, then it was braziians and now argentinians and of course spanish players all the time. our legends are brazilinas and dutch players and we can hardly call maradona a barca legend cause of his short stay which was plagued by a very gruesome injury. now messi is here and mascherano and aguero are linked with us but no more dutch or brazilians except alves but he is only one. just to inform you i'm talking about exceptionally skilled players and not just anyone but we have never had a swedish legend i think time for zlatan to change that lol. maybe it will be french instead who knows.

forget Zlatan... Aguero in 1 max 2years will be definitevly better, but then it could be to late.. so

GO FOR AAAAAGUEEEROOOO !!!

Marc4barca said...

lol can't deny aguero will be dangerous in 2yrs but just think if aguero plays the henry role with more pace and dribbling ability and could still score the same or even more goals and assist more with messi on the right and zlatan in the center it would be the best. it can even be ribery or robinho on the left but they probably won't score more than aguero.

El Kun is the man!

If we can't have Villa, we should go for Kun.

I concur Mr.Anonymous,
Kun is way better Ibra anyday...A very hard worker, amazing ball control, and kills it with Messi.

lebanese said...

Noooooo! He is a midget, we can not have him in our team.

Anonymous said...

Stop with the midget bashing, you do realize that the best attacking players in our team are all midgets right? -Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Alves, Bojan... it appears that being short makes him a better candidate for any role in our attack other than target man. In our style of play there is an advantage to being short, short players have quicker feet and reactions, they have better acceleration and agility, and they are usually better technically because they are less clumsy. Even an extremely elegant tall player like Henry looks awkward next to the midgets. Please buy El Kun.

hey lebanese ,

villa is nt tzhat big etoo either ....

and stop saying midget its unice.

Aguero Aguro ole ole olee

yes, yes,AGUERO is the man,we need young blood, and dont tell me about that "we have bojan alredy" so what does that mean that we cant buy a young attacker, just remember ronaldo, when we bought him he was 19 years old.aguero or benzema,we have to buy one of them

MiDO From Lebanon said...

hey if we get him we'll be Killers next year !!
and its nice to have two Messiz in the same team =)

Another reason why aguero !!!

aguero said i will never go to rm .

so Atl Madrid wont be waiting for a bid from RM for him

ej I understand your point. Kun is a great player and young aswell. If we can get him and play him like Henry on the flank I would be more than happy. But there are several problems.

He likes to play in the middle. In Barca we need a bigger player, someone who is dangerous in the air. We already have Bojan who is young, and he is quite like Aguero. He is short, young, good dribbling, fast. Aguero is better than Bojan, but Bojan is younger. If we give Bojan some time on the pitch he will become better than Aguero, I'm sure.

I think we all agree that we don't want to let Bojan go. Buying Aguero is a sign that we have found a better version of Bojan + I don't like the idea of barca having two strikers who are much alike, both young and will need time on the pitch to evolve. And both of them are short. Yes Iniesta, Messi, Xavi are short, but as a striker height is more important.

Another problem is the price. ej you think Aguero is cheaper than Villa. Why? You say that Aguero is better and younger than Villa. I bet Atletico value Aguero even higher than you do. Why would they sell him cheap? The president of Atletico said not long ago that the only chance Messi and Aguero will play in the same clubteam is if Messi would go to Altetico. To me thats a pretty clear sign that he won't let Kun go.

If we can get Aguero for a relativly cheap price, and he is willing to play on the LW I would be more than happy. His height wouldn't matter as much, he doesn't harm Bojans growth and Barca will have the option to eighter play with Henry or Bojan as CF, very different stiles but both work in Barcelona. It would add a new dimension to our attack (not that its needed but still :P) Amagine Messi and Aguero on the flanks, fast, amazing dribbling skills, and dangerous infront of the goal. And in the mittle, Bojan or Henry. Against a slow defence Bojan will be perfect, and against ultra-defence teams Henrys height alone can be the difference between a win and a loss.

Anon: Because we have so many midgets already, that is precisely why we can't have yet another midget. We will be the shortest team in the history of football! And that will cause alot of pain on defensive corners but also our play becomes one-dimensional, as our busbreaking abiliy suffers greatly. I understand your point about agility/reaction/technique etc, but you don't have to be a midget to play in our team, there are tall players with good technique.

It is important in this transfer season to get busbreaking abilities, so we should look for this in our attack.

Marc4barca said...

BREAKING BUS: Zlatan+freekick taker+fast dribbling LW and a biased referee lol maybe not the ref but the others are a must.

Martin Engelin said...

Totaly. Zlatan can do it all ;)

Hmm... Iniesta - Kun - Messi

is such a talented forward line that it is Crazy (I mean other teams might start complaining that there should be an upper limit to the amount of talent you can have in the forward line :-)). Very very short in height though.

Would be interesting to see though, especially when this forward line islinked to the Barca midfield. When you have such an amount of talent in the front three, Do you really need Physicalness or hieght?

Should be very interesting to see.

or even

Kun- Villa - Messi

very different from

Ribery - Ibrahimovic - Messi

Only thing I dont like about Aguero is his villain like character (Sort of christiano ronaldo like)

toure and pique cant take on the big guys

R10FCB said...

would be great for the left wing, but just as everyone else has said we need a taller striker. but if he comes for the left wing i will be very happy, messi and aguero on the wings at barca!

Iason said...

Aguero is strong and buff. Kind of like Tevez. Bojan should be our starting LW next season and if we get Aguero, he should our Striker. Bojan would be great for our LW.

Anonymous said...

anybody thinks that toure could be an attacking midfielder or even a striker? I think he could be zlatan if he played the striker role. :D

barcaaaa said...

Good point anon. regarding Toure as a striker. He has a very strong and good shot, is big, good technique, he is fast too, I think he could easily score 20 goals a season for us. I think pep should try out Yaya in the striker role in the pre-season.

James said...

Yaya is tall and fast. The Lakers should sign him next year to replace Kobe Bryant.

barcaaaa said...

I bet you said the same when he was tried out at the central defender position James. Well, Yaya did very well even though he had no experience on that position, so stop your arrogance please.

Martin Engelin said...

@ Iason

Bojan scored more goals in our youth academy than anyone else. He is a striker and a scorer. On the flank his abilitys won't be fully used.

SJP said...

aguero would be an amazing signing, he is my ibra (ie favourite player outside of barca) so i would love to see him come, although isn't he sandro rossell's trump card for the elections?

as for the midget, tall striker thing we just won everything we could win against countless teams that parked the bus. i think aguero is better in the air than etoo, he is also faster and he has better technique, all key to breaking a bus down in the barca way, not in the EPL way, just because they all use big strong target men why should we?

and to say we are 1 dimensional is not true, yes we are going to attack, yes we are going to play great football but the opposition never knows who the threat is going to come from. if we spend big on a tall no 9 it will be so obvious what are plan is, give the ball to xavi, alves cross to no 9, thats 1 dimensional. i'm not saying dont get a tall striker but dont waste most of our budget on one, get a cheap player like llorente as an option, but for me aguero/villa is a must. as for bojan they will both get plenty of playing time this season with so many games to play.

I actually like this idea if we get mascherano. No1 has the power behind a shot like toure... maybe eto 2 yrs ago but thats about it

I really love it if we could get aguero as centre forward
