Medical: Pique out for two weeks

Barcelona's medical staff has announced that Barcelona player Gerard Pique (22) has torn the adductor muscle in his right thigh during yesterday's league game against Deportivo.

Piqé, who was replaced by Botía after one hour of play, is expected to be out for the next two weeks. The Catalan defender will be further examined in Barcelona.

wow, lucky us Puyol, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Marquez and Pique got all injured at the same time when the season was over and not a few weeks ago. what type of defence would we have played with Puyol and Pique out as well against ManU?

Caceres-Botia-Yaya-Sylvinho? crazy.

I'm scared for Pique next year! I have the feeling that he is going to be like all the other young stars, their first season is amazing but then they completely flop the next season before getting better again. Examples: Sergio Aquero, even Bojan a little, Lavezzi and Hamsik.

I don't think that its the same thing as a defender. Piqué have developed fast into a starter in the squad, i think that he'll do as good next season as this, if not better.
