No Ibrahimovic meeting scheduled so far

Asked about the reports linking Inter Milan forward and Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic (27) with a move to Barcelona (read more here), the player's agent Mino Raiola has repeated in an interview with Italian television channel Sky Sport Italia that he didn't yet talk with Barcelona:

"At this moment, there's no agreement between Barcelona and Ibrahimovic. We'll see how things will go and when we can start negotiating.

There's no meeting with Barcelona planned at this moment. That's not needed now. Inter and Barcelona are trying to turn an interesting hypothesis into reality. As long as the clubs don't have a final agreement, it's useless for me to start negotiating. I'm in regular contact with Ibrahimovic, who's on tour in the US with Inter now. He's not nervous, he's calm and he knows we're working.

I'm tired of getting asked about his salary of 12 millions. That's my problem and that of the player. When we sign a contract, that obviously means that we are happy. When a player puts his signature under a contract, with Barcelona or any other team, that means he's happy. I've never talked about the details of the contracts of the players I represent and I won't start doing that now."

Raiola is meanwhile quoted by Spanish sports tabloid Marca as also saying that the clubs now first have to finalize their agreement: "It's not a done deal yet. Before the clubs start negotiating with the players, they should turn their principal agreement into a final agreement. For this transfer to go through, things should be done in a calm way. I anyhow think that the player would fit perfectly in the team of Barcelona. He's better than Kaká, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema together, because he has an excellent technique."

If he brought Maxwell safely to Barca, he can do the same with Ibra.

these days...IMO agents are playing hardball way too often...

its starting to really annoy me. Not only in soccer...but you have other agents in other sports like Boras, Bukovic, David Lee and others that kill their agents images by demanding way too much and unfortunetly crying in public for attention...

shut up and get the job done...NOW

I'm pretty sure we'll all start to dislike this Raiola guy in three years from now, when Zlatan will be over his peak with still two years left on 12 millions a year...

Zlatan is not going to get more than messi. And his game is not based on speed so in 3 years he will not be over his peak.

btw what happened to Keirrson? every week there was a report saying it will be done in that particular week...now its becoming a never ending story? why isn't that deal official yet? what the hell is the problem?

BTW he will get a lower salary because of tax-differences. Apparently if he earned around €9m in Spain, then he would basically earn the same after tax like in italy with his current €12m salary.

@Anony above me.

No, that's not true. The 9/12 million € are NET, but one thing is true, because of some special tax rules for foreigners (Galacticos Part 1 anyone? :-X ), the gross salaray would be a lot less than in Italy if he receives the same net salary.

I don't know the correct numbers, should be something like this:
12 Mio. in Italy net = ~19 Mio. gross
12 Mio. in Spain net = ~16 Mio. gross

* for foreigners in Spain, I forgot to add. (the tax should be about 24% for foreigners and 43% for natives).

I think Barcelona want to present the big forward signing first before they present keirrison. they were waiting on villa but now they are waiting on zlatan. he'll be presented days after a forward is signed at least that's what i hear and read.

Ibra has a bosnian blood and great knowledge of football. There is no doubt, he is perfect man for Barca

OK if we sign zlatan would that mean Keirrison goes on loan...

i doubt they would loan him. i said bojan should divert to a LW and i think that's what barcelona are going to do if they fail to get one this summer.
