Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova looked forward to tonight's first pre-season game against Tottenham in an interview with the club's official website:
"We'll try to win against Tottenham, like we try to win every game. Despite only having trained for three days and the many young players, we'll try to leave a good image. But we shouldn't worry too much about pre-season games.
All available players will have playing minutes. We have a lot of players from the B team and the plan is that they all will play one half since the team isn't really well-prepared physically.
From now on, we'll go step by step. We'll first try to win the first game of the pre-season, then the second one. Then we'll have to win the Super Cup. The game-by-game philosophy worked well last season and we'll keep it."
