Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Antonio Caliendo, the agent of Juventus forward David Trezeguet (30), will hold today telephone talks with Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain to explain the current situation of the Frenchman.
Trezeguet would have received the permission from Juventus to leave the Italian club and to start negotiating a transfer with interested clubs. The French striker would prefer to move to Barcelona (read more here).
Since Barcelona is looking for a centre forward with a different profile it's nevertheless very unlikely that Trezeguet will end up at Barcelona this summer.

"The French striker would prefer to move to Barcelona."

That statement is patently false!...Unless he meant to say that if he can't remain at Juve the only other team he would be willing to play for is Barcelona.
I'll say it one last time. If Barcelona can't get Drogba or Adebayor they are better served saving their money, instead of "reaching" for a centre forward who won't provide an added dimension (threat) to the club.

Agreed. Hell, I'd rather keep Eto'o.
