Barcelona has today officially announced the transfer of UD Las Palmas central defender Iván Alejandro Benítez (21), who will play with Barcelona Atlètic in the third division next season.
Iván, who passed the medical tests earlier today, signed a one-year deal. The Spanish defender, who came through the youth ranks of Las Palmas and has been playing for the club's B-team in the Spanish third division for the past few years, already made his debut with Las Palmas' first team in the Spanish second division.
Iván is, after winger Edu Oriol, midfielder Luque and central defender Armando, the fourth signing of Barcelona Atlètic this summer.
