Zlatan won't sign today

Asked about the transfer of Inter Milan forward and Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic (27) to Barcelona, the player's agent Mino Raiola has said in an interview with Italian football site Calcio Mercato that the operation won't be completed today:

"I am working on the deal but this certainly won't be signed today."

how many time do they need!!!ffff real madrid gets players easily nd barca 10 million dayz 2 get players this is rlly makin me mad!! but im still a barca fan!!!!

fcbee said...

Relax, these are complex matters, you don't arrange that in one-two-three.

SJP said...

we cant know for sure but it seems like madrid just said yes to whatever the players wanted, we are barca we dont do that, his demands have to be mutually beneficial to us. when that happens he will sign.

his agent sure likes to talk alot doesn't he?

yuti said...

The guy even seems worse than the agent of Touré... Some agents really think it's about them rather than about the players they represent.

Oh.

barca4life said...

Uhm why wasnt he working with barca all the time is my question? Etoo's agent has been negotiating since monday but we have only heard about zlatan's agent yesterday. Also like i said before, how does an italian site know what he said? The last I heard was that Raiola was in Spain to organize Zlatan's business. Same question I asked yesterday about the 75 million. How does an Italian site know that barca are gonna bid 75 million? Very strange

I think it's a matter of being in the press.
No doubt both Zlatan and Eto'o enjoys being in the spotlight and with madrids big transfers and massive press coverage, I'm sure Laporta and Barca doesn't mind taking a little longer than necesery.
I've noticed that Inter has been very positive and throughout commented that a deal is close.

Barca and the agents has been less forthcoming.

barca4life said...

To me the length of time it is dragging on just makes us seem amatuer

Athul said...

Err...but then, who said its gonna be signed today???

It seems K9 deal was finalized ages ago but we have not yet put pen to paper

dalwen said...

if a deal is not reached till next week, will Eto join the pre-season team then? His official vocation is supposed to end this week.

barca4life said...

Also zlatan must be feeling irritated. There was a story he phoned and asked inter to speed up the negotiations with etoo. lol. Taking so long to complete a deal is frustrating for all.

Anonymous said...

Because they talked to him by phone apparently, barca4life.

refter said...

They must find a solution for the secret bonus, guys! Will we ship it through Switzerland, Luxemburg or the Cayman Islands. It's not as easy as it seems... ;)

It's clear he's on his way, today or tomorrow or in the weekend, what's the big deal?

barca4life said...

The longer it goes on, the more chance that it breaks down somewhere. We want to see official as soon as possible. But i dont necessarily believe the Italian reports.

fcbee said...

Italians have been more accurate than the Spanish so far, regarding transfer fee, salary Eto'o, bonus Eto'o, rejection bonus by Barça.

Spanish sources are just shouting "it's a deal! it's a deal!" the whole time, so they can then say afterwards: "see? we were first!"

ej said...

you wanna hear funny story ?

with the mopney barca have paid for ibra they could have brough Aguero + Tevez.
both younger and suite the barca style more ...

we could have the fw line of argentina and the midfield of Spain ...

barca nike said...

according to Ibra's website he officially signed form Barca

Anonymous said...

His fake twitter you mean?

fcbee said...

ej still loves Aguero... :)

barca4life said...

The italians know about what is happenening with Etoo in Italy. They dont know what is happening in spain as was proven with the 75 million euro bid that was reported yesterday after they claimed the deal had collapsed.

1. How could we afford tevez and aguero when we are only paying 50 million euros (max perhaps 40 if some reports are to be believed) to inter. And aguero's buyout clause is 55 million euros (with atletico saying they wont sell for less than the buyout) and tevez cost 25 million pounds

2. Why would we want tevez and aguero? Neither of them gives us any different options. Both are short and skillful but when we meet teams like chelsea and they park the bus we dont have any arial options.

3. Why would we want tevez when he scored 7 league and CL goals last season? 6 of his goals came in the league cup and 2 in the FA cup. Henry on our LW scored 26 in total, eleven more than tevez and 25 in league and CL 3 and 1/2 times more than what tevez managed

barca nike said...

no i mean his website

fcbee said...

That was one mistake. As far as we know, of course. But they knew that Barcelona rejected the bonus before the Spanish papers...

Anonymous said...

What's the link then? And is it his real website or also a faker?

Unknown said...

nike barca give me a link please

that is a fansite. not official.

yuti said...

That's a fan site, man. As if Zlatan's official site would have a Dutch url. No offense, but please: think twice...

Anyone knows if Zlatan has an official website? Would be strange if he doesn't.

barca4life here are your answers :

1)assume we paid 50 for zaltan in cahs + etoo , this means 50+20(etoo)=70
i am sure that if we wanted tevez we could have got him for 25 M euro because he would rather join us but city got him and its no secret city get always the city prize and if we really wanted aguero he would have made some presure and we may have got him for 50 so 50-55+25 = 70-75 M euro.

2)i think all of us are making too much big deal with header and breaking bus stuff against epl teams , first we have to reach the lvl from next season and having a 1 man witzh 2 meter wont solve the problem too , its more a way of play and barca style is going in the middle and not flanking all time . and i think to try changing barca style will be the biggest failure that pep may do.

3)tevez had a bad season , but it was much to do with Ferugson not giving him the trust he played very well the years before and dont forget its sometimes smart getting player that you know what they are capable of but had a not perfect season because you can get them 30% cheaper.

a lot of people dont realise that the ibrahimovic of inter will be entirely different to the new ibra of barca let me tell you guys why i think this:

at inter they have a good midfield of good players with decent creativity and hard work ethic and they play a 442 which means ibra is limited to his movemement and ability on the ball als mou is an ardent taskmaster of reatricting a players creativity in order to sacrifice for the team, i recall a game a few season back when mou was chelski manager he lambasted joe cole for using tricks and skills and wowing the crowds even tho chelski were 4-0 up with sum 20 minutes left, i was amazed cos as a west ham fan i was used to seeing young joe using his dazzling skills and creativity and wowing the faithful down upton park!,

now i imaging mou did the same with ibra dont do this dont do that etc, it was no secret that ibra didnt like mou's negative defensive approach even in a league renowned for defensive tactics and although his relationship with him was cordial deep down ibra enjoyed his time as player under the likes of mancini who allowed a far more attacking creative approach and encouraged ibra to use his skills and creative abiliy to score goals and win matches, anyway to my point (yes there is one lol)

simply put barcas midfield is by far the most creative and strongest in the world and the supply of chances ibra will get will mean he will be far more clinical and more an allround player under pep than under mou at inter, and if anyone doubts that ibra will not work hard as eto'o think again cos pep will drum it into ibra until hes sick with envy that he must close down and pressure opposition defenders if anyone doubts this just look at the transformation of players such as titi and messi who werent great at closing down under rijkaard but actually enjoy it under pep cos they realise it really does bear fruit and for an even more good eaxample the likes of xavi an iniesta have followed suit at doin the same whilst under rijkaard were told not to!!, also the combination play between ibra henry and messi would be fantastic im willing to bet big that ibra will set up both titi and messi countless times with flick ons knockdowns and through balls etc for them to score x-amount of goals, also lastly consider this if for one moment ibra had any doubts about having to work harder etc he would have just stayed happily at inter cashin his €12m euro per season wages and bein comfortably the best player in italy, but no ibra realises and indeed has seen just how special someone like pep is and also how someone like pep can make him a far better all round player and who will have confidence in him sing his skills and creativity for me this is teh perfect replacement for eto'o.

peace out!!

engelin said...

yuti: he does not have a official site. but he got several fansites.

barca4life said...

Who was going to pay us 20 for etoo? City was the only one to offer 25 man u inter ac everybody else turned up their nose. We would have gotten a max 10-15 for zlatan this season

yuti said...

Thanks, engelin!

Looks like a missed merchandise or pr chance, but guess there must be a reason for it...

barca nike said...

elmundo deportivo: Ibra a blaugrana and Eto'o an Intarista

fcbee said...

It's still the same headline as yesterday and this morning, barca nike. Nothing changed.

barca4life said...

Also its not about changing style against chelsea, we will play the same style, however at set pieces corners and even when dani goes down the left flank, with ibra in the middle terry and co wont just be able to easily out jump and out muscle him as they were able to do to etoo and since ibra will be taking maybe 1 or 2 defenders that leaves iniesta/xavi/messi free in the midfield to have a shot on goal if ibra is beaten to the ball.

fcbee said...

By the way:

Ridiculous that EMD now says "Thanks, Samuel", after they have been bashing him for five years... How hypoctrite can you be?

yuti said...

Ibra's shot on goal is better than that of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi together, so we should get him in shooting position!

ej said...

fcbee ej is a argentina blaugrana fan :))

and to see barca playing with

tevez aguero messi in front

xavi inista mid

is just a dream of mice and i thinbk this will be very good for barca since the three players infornt very suitabkle to barca style.

i am really affraid of the changing pep may do , barca style was last season perfect so please keep him , yes we have problems with breaking a bus against Chelsea + MU but its noit even sure that we will meet them this season and to change something so buiteful just because a possible game in the season is very wrong in my opinion.

and the other problem is that even with zaltan i dont think the problem will be gone , if you watch the worst game last season it was against chelsea and the biggest problems was the dani alves crosses where all awefull ! he was flanking all time but the ball was always so far ...

and i really dont think that barca should play against epl teams like they play becauzse it simple everyone is the best in his style and barca style is the wonderfull shortopassing and killing the oppenent with the perfect last pass that goes to a fast player.

barca4life said...

Do you think man utd wont park the bus against us if they meet us now? They did it successfully in 07/08 and beat us over 2 legs and then they tried to play football against us in 08/09 and lost. They wrote the book how to beat us. Any english team (with perhaps the exception of arsenal) and even italian team that we come up against in the champions league is gonna park the bus now and hope for a break away goal. They saw what happened to bayern and Lyon. Its the same thing that happened in 06/07, teams parked the bus against us and we had no answer with ronaldinho etoo giuly

barca4life said...

and yes yuti ibra's long range shooting is a huge asset but whats the sense of having a 1.92 m centre forward if he doesnt give the CB's hell? Ibra will bring a lot with his long range shooting though something that etoo did not do as much

yuti said...

Yeah, but we had an answer in 2005-2006 and 2008-2009 and you can't win the CL every year. You also should have some luck. Zlatan won't change that, it's not as if we will now win the CL five times in a row. If they want to park the bus, they will park him and we'll have to find some lucky gap to get through it, like against Chelsea.

With Zlatan we win something, but we also lose some things and not only Eto'o, when you will play more with crosses than Messi, Iniesta and Xavi will also be less involved. So it's not black or white. Last year people said it was impossible to win a CL with Eto'o and that we needed a busbreaker. This season we've proved you can win everyting without a busbreaker too. There are many option to reach your goal.

barca4life said...

But if last season the referee calls the game correctly maybe we dont win the CL with etoo We had 1 shot on goal at stamford bridge for crying out loud and etoo was almost anonoymous Even on the last play he miscontrolled the ball and it accidentally ran to messi?

I am not only speaking of the CL though. In 06/07 teams parked the bus against us in la liga and it frustrated the hell out of us. Real struggle. Having a player like zlatan who can create more for himself and others as opposed to etoo who more waits for xavi or messi or henry to set him up is a big bonus when it comes to breaking down teams

i dont think that in the matches against chelsea we where lucky in term of refree.

if you look at the 2 games the first refree have kept chelsea in the game since if they have lost ballack and went to london with a 0-1 the yowuld have to play open and then they would get another 4 goals ...

yuti said...

Anonymous for us is not anonymous on the pitch, he stirs things up, which annoyes defenders. And be happy he was at the right place and had a bad control. With Zlatan's perfect control that might not have been a goal... ;) In 2006-2007 Eto'o was injured for half a season.

Eto'o wasn't the waiting guy. he was running and working and moving the whole time. The fans underestimate the importance of that. Like I said: with Zlatan we win things no doubt, we have some more options. But we'll also lose some things. So we'll ahve to wait until may to see the final results.

I pray to God that all those Eto'o apologists would go away and declare themselves Inter fans as soon as the transfer of their idol is finalized . I say , good riddance to all !!

groga said...

I hope the anonymous Eto'o haters will follow him to Inter so they can keep hating him there and we don't have to hear frustrations anymore the whole day... Good riddance!

ej said...

groga am sure no real barca fan can hate etoo, but there was many who wanted him to leave (me too) since it was time to say goodbye .

but the way wasnt good and etoo himself didnt act the way he should because maybe laporta and pep trated him not well but with all love to guardiola and laporta they are not barca , so in making a big scene with the press conference he hurted barca and asking exit bonus and i dont know what its Barca money not Laporta and not pep money.

so he had to go especially in the long term barca had to choose between messi and etoo and etoo has all his life the feeling he is not appreciated enough and especially with the whole fans screaming everygame MESSI MESSI this hurt him.

anyway wish him and barca both success and hope zalten will be worth the whole millions we are paying , i am afraid that we can win with zaltan but we can flop very hard too especially because i am maybe the only human in this world that dont think that pep is the greatest tacticer coach and still dont have a proper Plan B when something goes wrong.

@barca4life, no matter how much you throw valid points, etoo entourage wont be satisfied. So therez nothing much you could do about it. You have been spot on till now bravo, so as been kxevin.

So do Eto crew have a point? "Eto crew" are just saying that Eto cant be the only reason we didnt break buses. Why single a man out? Isnt Keita for the same purpose, long range shots, headers, yaya giant? Dont lets duel on this as we would never reach compromise.
Eto played his part, tall or short, bus breaking or bot and he did a good job. Micheal owen scored tons of Goals in the Epl, so did Shearer, and Henry, they are "poor" headers of the ball. Yet they played where the Double decker buses exist.Stikers vary, they cant all play in the same pattern. And Eto score against this EpL teams when it mattered most. What else could he have done? and referring to the chelsea game is just so unfair. Who stood out for you in that match? Messi? Xavi? ourt guys were markerd out of that game. So dont single eto out.
Messi Played 90mins and didnt hava shot at goal, so did eto, but we care quick to mention Eto. Inies had the only shot at goal and we score. did you see D.Alves in that match? Even Ibara or Bierhoff(master header) cldnt have scored from those awful passes.
We "forgive" them but hammer Etos case. dont lets drag this issue. Etos team mates know his value.

And for the last time, saying eto relied on Xavi, Messi, Inies to score is just funny. THAT IS WHY WE PAY THEM!!! to service Eto and for him to get the ball in the net. Would Ibra not need them? Like I said, we are putting pressure on Ibra to score "wonder/solo" goals without relying on the midfielders. A striker needs his midfielders to feed him and spoon-feed him if possible.

I don't hate Eto'o.Does that make me a Ibra fan? No.I'm not a fan of Ibra, does that make me a Eto'o fan? No.I'm a fan of Barca.Everyone has their favourite players but this deal has made some people think that there can only be either Eto'o fans or Ibra fans...peace

sho said...

I like to believe we are all Barca fans. For me, Barca come first. And I am sure a lot of people know my fav player (Titi).

And am not the greatest fan of Eto, just trying to be "fair". I dont hate Ibra, dont like him either, but would support him 100% when he pulls on the shirt.

LKC said...

Sho is absolutely right. We are fans of the club, and anyone who puts on the jersey should be given a fair chance to prove himself.

Eto'o has provided the best years of his career to our club and for that we should be grateful as well.
