FINALLY!

Agree with you Iason :D

Villa is a better player than Ibra (who I think is second on the list of CF-transfers) + He is spanish. I think he would be the perfect replacement for Eto'o, and I really think Bojan can learn alot from Villa.

It's really important that we win this transfer. We don't want him to go to Real!

Valencia probably want much for Villa, but I guess not as much as Inter want for Ibra? If we can get Villa for less than Ibra then he is the perfect player as CF in Barca.

ok now i beliebe it. hope he will join us and rm buy ibrahimovic for a very very high fee.

FC BARCA said...

I couldn't agree with you guys more. Villa is arguably the best CF in the world, If we can get €30 mil for Eto'o and buy Villa for €40 or €45 mil we should do that deal in a heartbeat.

45 millions for a guy who will be 28 when the season starts? madness!!! I agree he's better than forlan. but I don't want to pay such a fee for a 28 year old nexte season. eto'o I think is the better striker for us.30m and the loan of caceres would have to do..

jordy, footballers peak between 27 to 31. villa is within the bracket. and hell be 28 in december, thats still a long time. he can play till 2012 without any slowing down.

its my dream to see villa in barcelona, but i would prefer ribery. a right flank of messi and left flank of ribery is lethal

Martin Engelin said...

@ jordy

please at this transferwindow RM has totaly destroyed the prices, 45 mill for Villa I see as a good price. Eto'o only has 1 more year on his contract, after next season he can leave for free. We need to sell Eto'o unless he acceptes Barcas offers (wich I doubt)

this summer football market is sooooo crazy because of real stupid madrid!
we have to pay at least 35-40m€ for villa.

skanjos said...

lol acording to that article real is going for forlan .i would love if perez gives 30mil for forlan hahaha

Caribbean Hotspot said...

with that type of money real is throwing at players.....Clubs will ask extraordinary prizes for players.

Mast said...

he's a good striker but villa still doesn't provide us with a plan B when our free flowing game is crushed against a wall, like with chelsea..

If he wants this much money to renew then it is better to sell him. But villa? I think we should try some young players like Benzema or Dzeko

Anonymous said...

Dzeko is good but he just proved that he is good enough for the german league and furhtermore he only played (very) well the second half of the season. withing the first 17 games he just scored 5 goals. he needs to show that he can play constantly at a high level. we cannot buy him as a replacement for the best striker of the world - eto'o. we need a world class man who provides everything eto'o did. running, scoring (even in finals), passing... and he should be young so we can sell him in 4 years for some money.

the only 2 strikers fits that requirements are aguero and benzema.

Smogen said...

I am afraid of two players playing in Real, it is Ribery or David Villa. If Barcelona would be able to buy Villa for a reasonable price it would be absolutely fantastic.

hmm...it would also be pretty funny if Eto'o went to Man U this year. That would meen that Barca could steel Villa from Real with their own money....

Anonymous said...

i forgot to mention torres. btw: barca offered 35 mio euro: http://www.thinkspain.com/news-spain/16707/barca-admits-interest-in-villa

@Smogen: lol

LeónDragón Ill-Famed said...

would prefer both...
ribery and villa, as it seems that etoo will join another club.
they are two of the best, but don't have the star-behavior what sometimes leads to problems inside a team.
would welcome both, think too, that these two players can help defending our position in world football, as i believe also, that they maybe the best options out there.
visca el barca!

LeónDragón Phantom said...

yes smogen...funny thought

LeónDragón X said...

dzeko performed, without a doubt, very well or quite phenomenal in germany. but to buy him for his asking-prize seems too risky for me, as he never proved his status on international football or over just more than this past season. one-hit-wonder or more? don't know if it would be wise to find out by spending the 30 millions asked

jordy said...

if we have an attack with messi ribery villa bojan. isn"t anyone worried about size and strength??? add to that a midfield with mascherano xavi iniesta..chelsea liverpool, man u would all destroy us in the air!
Villa is very good but aguero is a far better investment. and i think he has more talent!he also has a lot of work rate and really strong..
Because RM ruins the market we need to burn ourselves too???? HELL NO! 45 million is NOT a good or fair price

what mast says is right. where's our plan b with villa.

And he's similar to bojan..has never played in a 4-3-3 attack neither.

But i'll say it again, he's one of the best of la liga. He also provides us a lot of movement like eto'o does. But to me we already have his qualities and have a need for other qualities than his.

Unknown said...

I still don't believe this news! I think Villa will join madrid in the end...BUT I hope for a Miracle to happens and barca sign him cuz he is the best forward in the market...

Anonymous said...

see him playing now in the confed-cup. he is a little invisible. oh man, i would love to see aguero in barca.

LeónDragón said...

plan b? there are many ways to break a bus. on a good day without injuries and with the creativity we quite always have, there are always ways to break a bus technically with surprising moments. when alves or others on a better day bring their passes more precise, things go better. think that it was a lack of creativity these day after so many games. this always can happen. it was not so that we hadn't chances against chelsea, but it was not the day of our strikers i think. after all we past through them, so, what's the matter. it's not only a question of how big a striker is, it's also or more about, how much quality he has. not all of the biggest legendary goalscorers were big by height, but knew how to use their skills wisely. size doesn't matter. have a look at the past and ask yourself who the best strikers were. and then take a look what kind of players they were

Martin Engelin said...

The thing with the size:

We didn't have much tall players this year eighter and we still won the treble. We will still have Henry who is quite tall, and we have some tall players in defence; Pique, Busquets, Yaya.

About this not being true:

If the vicepresident of Barca said so on the radio then why wouldn't it be true? Valencia said before that they have received an offer, but NOT from a spanish club. That was before this post. If you beleive in the roumors around Villa I think it's a bigger chance that Barca has made a bid than RM.

Even if it isn't true it would put presure on Ibrahimovic. If he really wants too play for Barca he will now know that he cannot just sit and wait for Barca too work their ass off to sign him. He needs to help Barca by putting presure on Inter.

jordy said...

all true Leon dragon. but i have never said he isn't a great striker. he's just not wat barça needs!

Awesome!

Martin Engelin said...

Oh btw anyone heard of what Bojan has said about Zlatan? He talked about Zlatan in an interview wit a Swedish reporter. I'll translate it for you:

Bojan:
A club like Barcelona always wants the best players, and Zlatan is one of the best. All of the really good players want to play in Barca right now, and Ibrahimovic is on of them.

Would Zlatan be a good transfer?
Absolutly. He is a player of the highest quality and would of course be good for Barca.

LeónDragón said...

jordy, that's your opinion and i respect yours. and maybe you're right. no one knows til' proved

Martin Engelin said...

Anyone who knows Swedish or spanish can see the interview here:

LeónDragón said...

also agree to aguero, jordy. if i had to choose, it would be, without a doubt, el kun. but don't know if possible

skanjos said...

just watched the spain match, man silva is amazing,i wonder why arent we interested in him for left wing, basically he is a midfielder but like iniesta plays left well too, watching him today was like watching him play in barca,he fits right in,the same can be said for villa .

villa and silva for barca and let real have all the ronaldos and riberys they want

Martin Engelin said...

I've heard Valencia won't sell Silva. Sorry skanjos dude :/

Anonymous said...

silva is too young. we need someone older like benayoun.

SJP said...

if we get rid of etoo then villa would be best option, but he has seemed on the verge of signinig for RM so reckon we'll still lose him. if we don't go for ribery then silva would be good although as has been said i dont think valencia want to sell him. just watched spain in con fed cup man i wish we could get torres!

also when spanish plyers asked about ronaldo transfer carzola said, "80mil is ridiculous only iniesta is worth that much"!

Anonymous said...

we should buy cazorla. that man is a genius. :)

R10FCB said...

well said leuke knul. benayoun is not good enough for barca. i hope we do get ribery and villa this season, that would be awesome!

I've read almost every comment about who should be the one that replaces Eto'o in case he leaves the club.In my opinion the club should do everything in it's power to hold on to him because he's the best cf in the world and his scoring rate in the last 5 years he's with us proves just that.Everyone is talking about Ibra,Villa ,Forlan or I don't know who else but noone has ever mentioned about Fernando Torres. He is 25 years old and, already scored more than 140 goals in his career and I think with his style of play would be ideal for barca.Considering the financial problems of Liverpool I don't think it would be very difficult to convinvce them to sell for 40-45 mil. or even less if Eto'o is involved in the deal.I would love to know everyone's opionion in this matter

LeónDragón said...

to get fernando torres would be, for me, best option too, but i think the reason no one spoke about him here, is that he's nearly impossible to get. manu made a bigger bid than 45 millions, but was rejected, without thinking much about it. not only because of the rivalry, but benitez who would never let him leave. fernando torres also feels well at liverpool, so best is to forget about it. in my opinion, if you want to bring him it needs at least 70-80 millions to make l'pool let him go

Eldimoni said...

I cant wait to see Madrid fall flat on their faces after paying criminal amounts of money for individuals and still havent learnt their lesson.
Bring em on and Barca will spank the new boys too!
Mr Perez is essentially trying to buy La Liga and hugely inflating market prices in the process. Perhaps he would be better advised to invest in Madrids Youth system. Do you ever think youll see 7 players developed through their youth system playing in a CL Final like Barca??!! no chance.

jordy said...

barça would better offer 25m and eto'o for torres!
he fits the profile. Not sure he wants to come but it's worth a try

i dont mind loaning out bojan for a season, but valencia should not get an option to make the deal permanent. bojan is great but not as good as villa. but i still think it would be best to keep him.
