OFFICIAL: Keirrison

Barcelona has today officially announced the transfer of Palmeiras forward Keirrison (20).

Barcelona has closed a principal agreement on the transfer and will pay a transfer fee of 14 million euro plus 2 million euro in incentives depending on the games played by the Brazilian striker with the first team.

After the medical tests on Friday, Keirrison will sign a five-year deal with Barcelona, although he will leave on loan next season.

Bem-vindo Keirrison!!!

(or whatever it is in Portuguese..)

its definitely not a bad deal. he's worth it. if we can find a good club or him, then he would be a great buy.
Welcome to the team!

That's what I'm talking about. Bring it on.

id rather get pato from milan instead of keirrison wat do u think?

yuti said...

If that's 14 million straight from the 70-80 budget and Zlatan is 45-50 and Maxwell 5, than there's like only 5-15 left and it's not as if we're gonna gain more by selling if Hleb is going in the Zlatan deal and Caceres is going on loan. At the best we could get 5 more for Guddy. Where leaves us that? Seems like we'll have to hope on some youngsters coming through...

Let's celebrate this with a group-hug.
The harmony of the blog has been bad since the Eto'o case. :-)

Now we need Hernanes and Quality and Cheap option that Guardiola Wants. We should get Gourcuff for next season and try for otmendi from velez,

@ anony: wat are u smoking pato instead of k9 milan rejected a £50m bid from chelsea for pato so what chance did we have of getting him i like k9 a very typical romario striker who can also play left wing i think loaning him is probably the best option although i still believe pep should of looked at him during the pre season games to see if he has anything to offer as he can play left wing attack very well, although my theory is titi will play one more season here then will move on an then k9 will be the new left wing attacker?, pep loaned henrique out an he know looks a far more polished player all round, k9 needs time to adapt to european football and at a club like benfica he could adapt and show pep what he can do!! the price is fair considering his talent and stock.

my excitement is tempered by his going on loan. i know it's smart not to drop him right into the fray, but even if we get zlatan and sell eto'o, we've got a THIN front line and a lot of games.

fcbee said...

True, rory. Messi, Zlatan, Henry, Bojan, Pedro is just too little. Although Iniesta can move up but he doesn't have decent back-up in midfield.

We obviosuly don't have enough money anymore to buy a decent winger, so I think you can be pretty sure that one of the B-guys will be promoted to have some more back-up.

Jeffren really can't waste his time another year with Barça B and Gai could switch between first and second or be straight promoted.

now that we have keirrison and ibra is on the doors, we should now concentrate on the only weak position in our squad the leftwing, we need to sign a pure leftwinger someone like : ribery, mata, ashley young

barca4life said...

I guess this means the Ibra deal must be close because we didnt want to sign keirrison before we signed villa and then it seemed we wanted to sign zlatan first so i hope this means zlatan is almost here.

barca4life said...

Pep has said he will borrow some players from luis enrique and he prefers to work with smaller squads so i think he doesnt mind Zlatan Messi Henry Bojan so much. I do think we may be looking to get Mascherano or Cesc and allow Iniesta to move to the LW

Anonymous said...

Judging by the budget left, the above three are very much unlikely (although i really hope mata should join us).
I think pep might nick some youngsters off enrique

If we can get some 15 mill, arshavin can be a very good option. He has pace to burn and his positioning and his one touch play very much suit barca.

P.s: He is a life long barca fan

Finally! Great player, he belongs here, he has Barca in his heart. Buyout clause for other clubs was 40 or 50 millions, just one exception :D
ps great blog, big up

I dont thing arsene will sell for 15 neither do i think valencia will sell mata for 15 so i think we will be spending more, especially since pep wants a DM backup for Toure and Keita that pep says has to be cheap. I do hope its Poulsen on loan

awesome...FINALLY.

I think he has the tools to be a great player in Europe.

He needs playing time tho and I hope he will stay in the spanish league.

Good signing....Now, please get VELOSO or HERNANES to add depth to our midfield...

tero said...

Nice...now there's only to find him a suitable club to gain experience

Unknown said...

If only he could go on loan to Sevilla or Atletico Madrid becuase both will be in the Champions League...And also Saviolas loan was successfull with Sevilla. That way he plays in UCL, La Liga and also Copa Del Rey and at a big club with high pressure.

We definately need a defensive midfielder and i think instead of getting Poulsen we shouls sign Hernanes because I feel Keita could going next year and i don't think that Cesc will arrive with the price tag he has and Maschareno has a long contract so Liverpool will make it hell for anyone trying to sign him. We need to forget Ribery because he wants Real so we should concentrate on getting Goucuff before his price balloons.

blaugrana_uk said...

we cannot get gourcuff as bordeaux exercised the option to buy him for €15m this summer already so we can put that to bed right away!!, we should look at robben seriously although he plays for real he always admitted he is a barca fan an i think laporta can do business for around €15m euros also i think barcas fitness staff will do a very good job in keepin arjen fit and prime, hes young skillful has quick feet acres of pace to burn and has a good long shot we should see if real would be tempted by a €15m euro bid for him, if they are serious about reducing their squad then they will sell robben?? anyone agree??

blaugrana_uk

Yes Robben could be a very good option and he was probably reals best player last year too so Im surprised they would let him go.

However I do not like the idea of directly buying a Real player that they do not want as it feels abit downgrading but thats just my opinion because I am a hardcore Cule.

Do you think real will sell to us?

I don't want anybody to sign their players that way we'll see them suffer financially alhough its unlikely and Perez plan get scuppered.

SJP said...

robben really not a good idea, some talent but way to many problems, let him continue rotting in madrid and add to uncontrollable madrid dressing room. moutinho seems best option to me although no idea what price he'd cost.

Really happy we got kerrison, could prove best signing of this period with hindsight, just glad we gonna have a brazilian in the forward line again,(although alves nearly counts!)hope he gets good experience on lona, also that barca put a cluase that he can be recalled if needs must.

jordy said...

i agree to, robben is a fantastic winger. It doesn't bother me at all that they don't want him anymore..RM would be happy to get 25m for him. he's still young to.
But I doubt if there's money left for robben. Pedro will get a lot of playing time, as well as bojan. which is good. I also read pedro will be promoted.
I also like iniesta a lot more in the midfield than on the left wing so robben would be perfect
robben henry zlatan bojan messi pedro jeffren surely does it.

Marc4barca said...

robben is so selfish he would of probably harmed real madrid more than help them with kaka and ronaldo in the team, plus they need the money since they payed so much for 4 players and want more. i think they'll suffer the same problem good attack but weak defense and i'm just hoping teams put away the chances they get against real this time.

You guys should read an article on the Eurosport website: ink below,

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/23072009/58/la-liga-real-need-trophies-avert-cashflow-disaster.html

Hope it will all go wrong for real so they can be playing amateur football in a couple of years time. To be successfull they have to beat us which won't happen, they might beat us financially because they take charity (from banks) while we give charity (unicef) but they won't beat us on the field which would be a disaster for them hahahahahaha!!!

Real Madrid are finding it hard to negotiate the sale of the five or six players they need to offload to raise cash to fund more purchases, director general Jorge Valdano said. Valdano: Real stuck with unwanted players

Marc4barca said...

with the prices he is putting them at it's obvious he won't get them sold he would have to lower his prices as most clubs have completed their summer spending and the smaller clubs won't pay huge sums and huge wages for the players. i think they'll get some sold eventually though, having a 30man squad with first class players is bad for the club and players themselves.

blaugrana_uk said...

@sanur: yes i agree with your point to a degree i too am hardcore cule but lets not forget that we signed luis enriquee from madrid all them, years back when he was not wanted by madrid and barca came in for him and made him a better player ten fold! so i can see pep making robben a better player too!, infact my most favourite enrique quote was this one said many years back i remember reading it somewhere:

"at madrid i felt like a little kid lost like a sheep in a chaotic care home, a mere cattle with a tatooed number on his skin, then when barca came calling it was like a family had found me a family that wanted me to shower me with love and affection and welcome me as a brother then i realised just what this club really means why catalunya identifies with it soo much, madrid are just memory barca will always be in my heart"! when i saw this quote i thought man that is deep and he must have really felt something deep within to say those words!!!
