Barcelona made an approach for Nani

British tabloid The Sunday Telegraph claims that Barcelona made an approach for Manchester United winger and Portuguese international Nani (22).

The club is believed to have contacted Manchester United after the Champions League final in May asking about the availability of Nani. The English champions would have rejcted the approach.

Nani told the tabloid: "I heard something about Barcelona. It is good for a player to hear that the best clubs in the world want you to play for them. But my mind was only thinking about Manchester.

It makes me really happy to know that this club wants to keep me, it really gives me confidence. It's fantastic to know that, at a club like this, they are thinking about my future. I have never thought about going. I have been here only two years and want to do something for this club, to be part of its history."

overrated, i prefer malouda.

He is good but I can't see MU wanting to lose another winger. Even though MU have debts to pay, I don't think they would want to risk a fall in performance just so they can make money from the sale of their best players.

Revenue from the aura of winning trophies will far exceed the value of any transfer.

nani would not be a good addition he isnt better than pedro or jeffren,

anyone saw the ajax game yesterday,i saw it to see how good verthonten is ,the lad played LB all the game and was mediocre, the one i was impressed offcourse is suarez and i dont get why hasnt he been transfered yet,he is amazing and would do wonders in barca,i remember us linked with him sometime this year.would love to get him

Agreed- both him and Malouda are highly overrated. Not Barca material.
