Barca Still Hopeful of Cesc Return

Sport is leading with a feature article outlining the case for Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas to return to the Camp Nou. According to the paper, Pep Guardiola has personally endorsed such a move and would prefer adding the former Barca youth player over Liverpool's Javier Mascherano.

However, the paper highlights the difficulty such a move would pose, as Arsenal is not likely to sell its 22 year-old captain without significant financial incentive, especially in light of its recent transfers of Emmanual Adebayor and Kolo Toure.

Still, Barca believes that its potential bid of 30 million euros may be enough to enable a move, given both the pressures of the current economic condition and Cesc's long-rumoured desire to return to his home side. In a separate article,
Sport quotes Xavi as seemingly endorsing Cesc's potential arrival, saying that his Spanish national teammate is a "total footballer" who has "the Barca profile."

Intensified talks with Cesc could lead to bid

Looking at pur pre-season performance, the worrying factor was not just the absence of Iniesta & Ibra actually. It's more related to some one called Xavi.
Whenever Xavi was on the field, not only was there a free-flow in our game but also the opposition seemed like drowsy... nearer to sleep :P
But when Xavi is not on the field, not only are we not playing fluently & not scoring many goals but also the oppositions seemed aggressive and started scoring.

Now that's a HUGE impact of Xavi's mere presence on the game. But that's too much dependence on the maestro. We CANNOT risk Xavi playing through out the season injury-free. And we would be swept away in a split second if God forbid Xavi is not available. I hate to admit but may be we do need Fabregas & we do need to splash the 40 or whatever that paedophile master of a businessman is gonna demand :(

Josep "Pep" Guardiola i Sala - We are strikers who defend, we are defenders who attack, we are speed, we are strength, we are effort, we are precision, we are as one... We are Barça

OFF - TOPIC :
Now that the Chyhrynskiy coward is out of plans... Apart from our suggestions, any one has an idea as to whom Barca seem to be scouting presently?
Because Kompany and all though look promising were actually not in the board's interests, only mere suggestions from sport. Hernanes, Mata & Fab cases are different though :)

I don't think that we can by Fabregas for 30 millions, Arsenal will asking more than 40 million because Cesc is their captain

Buy Cesc & Di Maria ~ 50-60mil.
Sell Guddy.
Promote Suarez, Jonathan, Muniesa.

Valdes, Pinto.

Puyol, Pique, Marquez, Milito, Muniesa, Alves, Henrique, Maxwell, Abidal.

Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta, Toure, Keita, Busquets, Jonathan.

Zlatan, Messi, Henry, Bojan, Di Maria, Suarez.

the board should know by now that a creative amc is needed ,we cant go only by xavi ,i dont count messi and iniesta cause they will play most on wings.fabregas is needed ,if not fabregas another creative amc but i cant find another player that will fit as perfectly as him.what if we pay 40mil ?if with him it makes the change from winning no trophie or only the league to winning the tremble again it is fair to give such a sum.

i think the team is quite small and especially in the midfield we dont have many choices.lets hope all can be resolved in the next few days.txiki has to move fast,we cant afford any delays

The only way for this to work is if Cesc himself says clearly that he wants to join Barca. Otherwise the deal will not go through- unless we do real and spend some ridiculous money. Something that I really don't want to happen!
