Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona is already looking at other options in case the transfer of Bayern Munich player Ribéry wouldn't be possible.
Arsenal winger and Dutch international Robin van Persie (25 - picture), Chelsea left winger and French international Florent Malouda (28) and Valencia left winger Juan Manuel Mata (21) would, in that order, be the other players preferred by the coaching staff for the left wing.

good
bad dont want ne one of them ... van persie no though good player ..but not that influencial ..misses chances ...injury prone ..maluda no after d chelsea match ...to predictable ..his left foot only works ...dont no much abt mata
there r many qulaity player which r awailable 4 cheap .... go for Keirrison instead he can play left wing striker ... adds brazilian fair ....rather go for robinho but it will be difficult or ask them robinho instead for etoo if he dosent agree for renewal coz he will go for free that will surelf hurt ....!
Malouda should be third on that list for sure. He scores too little. Van Persie, greatgreat player but what about character and injuries? Mata, young and unexperienced, and what about the upcoming youngsters from our youth, how would they feel with a 21-uear old coming in?
Everyone is in list but NOTHINGS happening!!!
I am very disappointed. Plz Laporta sign SOMONE!
Ibra, Ribery, Bruno Alves, Diego Forlán, Filipe Luis etc etc...choice is yours
hmm i agree but i dont mind buying sme one younger(if our board does) coz it doesnot always hurt the growth of the players....it can have opposite effect too ..brings in good competition .... gives option to d manager & d player brought has that quality not a back up... but the main thg is that the younger player shld have desire to succed within our team like wht inesta did not like wht dos santos did
due to real our tranfer season has been much affected ,.... but it may help us also as it will force us to look for quality player with cheaper option 4m other leagues (brazilian leagues)
Sign a central defender (Vidic) and a backup for Alves.
Mata is a great young player. I like david silva for LW. I wish we could had signed ribery.
We can forget about Ribery :(

Van persie or mata are good player. I prefer the spaniard.. Malouda I don't like. he's strong and fast but not really creative.
I would also consider pato for the left wing.He has a lot of potential and the same type as henry
should be this order : Van Persie, Mata and NO Malouda.
damn all those options are bad,the only realistic is van persie and that would cost us and the player is very injury prone, malouda is crap and mata is very young and that could hit our academys(better bring up gai instead).
there are ribery, silva, robinho still out there why dont we focus on the instead ...
@ Jordy: Bojan is a way better winger then pato. Why get pato when barca has bojan?
agree with sashi, even when none of them does it really for me
What about Thiago Neves?
@skanjos
Bayern wants that sweet Madrid cash so they won't let Ribery go for under 50 million. Man City just paid 45 million for Robinho, they're not going to let him go for cheap, we also can't afford Robinho's wages. Silva - see Ribery & Bayern situation.
Van Persie would be the cheapest option. He rejected a contract extension this past year so Arsenal may have to consider selling him.
I dont want any of these players. get me Frank Ribery!!! but if am to chose at al cost, I'll take RVP.
And I just committed a crime; I visited Real MADrid website..lol (to see if theres anything on CR9). I found something we might all like and laugh about. They called their £59M signing "TIMID" and my dictionary explains "TIMID" as:
1 Lacking self-confidence
2.Fearful and hesitant
3.lacking conviction or boldness or courage, faint heart.

@don luis
I think of bojan more as a box player, central striker. Pato could become an improved henry on the left. he is even faster than thierry ever was.
so in a couple of years an attack with pato bojan messi doesn't seem bad to me!
I'm afraid ribery will go to RM and silva has nog scoring ability. We already have the technical players so I prefer a combination of technique speed and strenth for the left wing/striker positions. The same profile as henry and eto'o
Pato is probably even more fantasy signing than Ribery, jordy. Milan doesn't need cash anymore now they've sold Pato and the fans would go totally crazy if he leaves too.
Soccernet says Ronaldo's salary is, get this,
£9,500,000 the first year with a 25% increase per year up to £29,000,000 in the last year, or £557,000 per week.
This kind of investment is economically insane. I don't know why people are still trying to justify some logical reason as to how this transfer could work financially. It seems patently obvious that Madrid & Florentino have some dirty money coming in somewhere.
RVP would be good option as the LW position needs to be a striker who can play wide, not a mid playing forward, ribery seems less and less likely, only way i can see that happening is if he starts putting massive pressure on bayern. not sure about mata haven't seen him play much. but if these are the choices then why not put bojan there and rotate with henry? bojan can learn the position an henry has another year, after his form last year i think he deserves it.
i am all for barca using their cantara players instead of buying success (or trying to!) like RM, but honestly gai did not even stand out for the b team last year, pep seems to favour pedro and jeffren, i hope he does turn out to be a great player but its not a given that he will. competition is what these players need, thn we know who really has the desire to play for barca, and we weed out the giovanni's.
SPJ i totally agree with you.we need a striker who can play wide at LW. I only think bojan should rotate in the center and cause of injuries on the LW. Why? I think it needs to be a striker with a lot of pace. and bojan lacks a little bit of that. he's fast but not like henry messi or pato.
Pep does favor gai, he was his star player.only luis enrique seems to think the other are better.
Van Persie...NO. Malouda...NO. Mata...YES!!! Hes young, hes fast, he can dribble and he can score. Good player.
Of these 3 the only one worth buying is Mata.
RVP is a talented striker not a winger. He has an extremely sharp turn and shot. He is not exactly good at dribbling in small spaces or linking up with other players. And he is bound to get injured within a few weeks of joining. I fear he would turn into as worthwhile an investment as Hleb was.
Malouda is just plain useless. The sort of player who can make it at an EPL team but would struggle in any league where more skill is required.
Buying either of the first 2 means we will have to depend heavily on Iniesta/Henry or Gai/Pedro/Bojan for the LW. So then save the dough and use them instead.
These are not real options, they just say they are so Bayern thinks we have other options and will sell us Ribery at a reasonable price. I do not want to see any of these players at barca.
Anon, hope you're right, but I think Ribery will go to Manu :(
I really hope this isn't true. Van Persie isn't good enough for the price that Arsenal most likely will want for him. Mata Played for Real when he was young, and I hate Malouda.
