Xavi expects pressure from Ibrahimovic

Asked about the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Barcelona player Xavi has said in an interview with Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio that Ibrahimovic will have to adapt to Barcelona's way of playing:

"The role of Ibrahimovic will be very similar to that of Eto'o. It's a fact that Samuel had a real fighting spirit and a special character, but I'm sure Ibrahimovic will add other things.

Anyhow, putting pressure is an important thing for this team, because it allows us to play on the opponent's half and Ibrahimovic will have to adapt to that way of playing."

Ibra will adapt. I heard a commentator (Dave Roberts) on ESPN say that Etoo is a much better striker than Ibra and Ibra would never give Barcelona as much as Etoo gave us. He also said that Mourinho must be the happiest man sitting back smoking cigars at having etoo and cash. Somebody is going to look very silly at the end of this year. Its either the Barca board and Laporta or some in the media.

Keep in mind this was the same media that gave Barcelona no chance against Man Utd in the Champions League final and who still say Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in the world despite Messi scoring 38 goals last season just 4 less than ronaldo did the season before while ronaldo didnt come near that figure last season.

I am more concerned about this Keirrison guy we have bought. That guy talks like he is already a world champion. With such an attitude, he will be a massive failure, not only in Barcelona, but also in Benfica, where the competition in the attacking area is very strong too.

b4l i dont remember espn saying that barca had no chance against man utd.that was said by crappy newspapers in england .

we cant know how good ibra will do.we can only guess.it will be very difficult thought to achieve what eto has achived mainly for his age.i think he will do well ,cl is my concern,la liga is ours, too easy with that compatition and you can quote me on that.

Saying that he will fail is as ridiculous as saying that he will succeed. We just don't know and we'll have to wait and see.

Why are you sure he will be a failure? Keirrison that is. History has seen plenty of players full of confidence and even arrogance who have made it. For example the player everyone is comparing him with. Romario, total diva. And not to forget, Stoichkov.

terry benables guy said we had no chace against manu...and two months later he visited us in london lol.

Yeah they did skanjos. I watched the game on ESPN and several of their "experts" gave us no chance in the semi final 2nd leg as well as no chance in the final.

Shaka Hislop was sucking Barcelona's dick pretty good though! The other two douchebags on ESPN were just clueless. These guys run their mouth for a living, so give their stupid opinions a break!

that terry benables is a clown maybe that clown also said that steu bucarest have no chance agaonst barca in 1986 thats why we lost. these guys have no idea bout football just praising their own overrated teams and players the minute they win one game they are world beaters, at least we gave them cream pie to enjoy on that 27th day of may 2009.

It is simple you guys. The English media in ESPN go for EPL teams over la liga teams and the spanish media fo for la liga teams.
