Muniesa and Fontas could be promoted

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona Atlètic centreal defenders and Spanish youth internationals Marc Muniesa (17 - picture) and Andreu Fontàs (19) could be promoted to the first team this summer.

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would have made clear to the club that in case it wouldn't be possible to sign Shakhtar Donetsk central defender Chygrynskiy (read more here), they shouldn't look for alternatives. Guardiola would then prefer to count next season on B-team players Muniesa and Fontàs.

I honestly think this is the best alternative for now. Puyol Pique Marquez Henrique Abidal Yaya Muniesa and Fontas all can cover the CB position and I pray at some point we can add Milito to that list. We can go back for Chygrynskiy next season when he can play for us in the CL.

Henrique will be loaned b4l. pep is obsessed with chygrynsky because he is a left footer and can pass the ball so well. but what about his defensive qualities?

They should promote one of them although both are good but my vote goes to Fontas.

it was the same with milito, a left footer rijkaard was obsessed with. it is the ajax total football mindset. look at van gaal in bayern. he immediately demanded a left footer for the left CD position.

they should bee promoted and henrique must not be loaned out.give him som time to adapt.Chygrinskiy is not barca quality

I have seen Henrique play a few times last year . I was really impressed with his ball skill and temperament. I don't know why he is having trouble adjusting but it could be the obvious step up in class . Let's face it; the Bundesliga is NOT in the class of La Liga . I think if we give Henrique some time he will do better and fit in !!

there's a player at the german league at fc cologne, (pedro) geromel (brazilian with italian roots), 1,90 big, called one of best defenders of this league. they say he has an elegant style of play, good heading, very good passing and reads the moves of strikers. what i saw of him was very, very well and much better as probably the skills of caceres or henrique.
barca should take a look at him, as i also doubt they know him, how pitty

Muniesa is too young to be promoted, it developes him more as a player if he can keep playing constantly, not sitting on bench most of time. He is still just a kid, few bad performances in the first team could crumble his self-confidence. Give him time to grow.

Fontàs could be used on rotation against teams like Osasuna, but I'm not sure if he is good enough (yet) to be promoted.

I'm still thinking that Pep didn't give Henrique enough time to prove himself. It takes time to fit in a new team.

looks like Pep doesn't really know what he wants.Henrique should stay so that Muniesta could be promoted. What is all this Chingr...or whatever.i don't think he will suit as at all.lets go for a DM and a left winger and add to the squad then we can focus on the squad available.
