Last year's Hernanes interest confirmed

Asked about the rumours linking São Paulo midfielder Hernanes (24) to several European top clubs, the player's agent Frederico Pena has confirmed in an interview with Italian television channel Sky that Barcelona tried to sign the Brazilian last summer:

"How much should he cost now? Only São Paulo can decide on his valuation, but I think his price would be around 13-14 million euro.

Barcelona tried to sign him last year, but São Paulo didn't want to sell him back then. Milan? No representative of Milan has officially talked with us, but Milan would of course be a dream for him. There have also been rumours about Juventus, before they bought Melo, and Inter."

13m. Why not give it a go, he is very versatile, and gives us busbreaking with his shots from distance and free kicks which the bus can't defend against.

Mascherno is probably impossible now that Madrid has signed Xabi. Cesc is very unlikely (fee), so if it's between Poulsen of Hernanes, I would go for Hernanes (maximum: 15M)...

We still need one more reinforcement (at the least). Jonathan isn't ready. If Thiago isn't ready either Hernanes is a great player to rotate with Xavi, Iniesta or allow Iniesta to spell Henry.

13-14M for him would be very nice.
i hope we would go for him.

I have seen this guy play and he could become the next Kaka if and when he moves to Europe. When the agent said Milan would be a dream what he meant was there are rumours about Milan replacing Pirlo if he goes to Chelsea so if it was to happen that he is that repacement it would be a dream, and from what I heard last summer was that he was hoping Barca and Sao Paolo could come to an agreement when they were intertested but the asking fee of their Clown president was too high.

Hope we get him, he is so smooth with his movement and reminds me alot of Xavi, he can also pass the ball creatively.

He spoke about Milan because it's an Italian media and they asked him about it. It's not him out of the blue saying "Milan is my dream club".
