Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker Jeffren Suárez (21) will be promoted to the first team this summer.
Barcelona's coaching staff would have made the decision and the Venezuela born player will be part of Barcelona's first team squad next season.
Santander football site El Racinguista claims on the other hand that there's little chance that Jeffren will get many chances next season and that the player himself would prefer to join Spanish first division club Racing Santander on loan (read more here).

Does Jeffren's current contract run till 2010 or 2011?
well it's obvious santander football site will say something like that for their own club what a bunch of desperate losers. jeffren gets promoted and he'll just up and leave to santander on loan?? ha i don't think so cause he will play considering the schedule for next season. pedro and muniesa needs to get promoted to.
Last thing I heard was 2010, but it's not really clear with the b team players, sometimes their our options to renew etcetera.
Pedro IS already part of the first team since last season (like Victor Sanchez).
In my last article I mentioned that Jeffren may end up making the same Impact this season as busquets did last season.
But I hope we will not do the same mistake we did regarding Busquets contract. Renew then promote, not the other way.
Jeffren is more of a known quantity than Busquets was at the beginning of last year. Busquets would have probably wanted to renew because he would have been prepared to play on the B team again.
Jeffren however, already has offers for the first team of other clubs and without clarifying his opportunities on the first team I'm not sure he'd want to renew with the rates of his B team contract.
True James. But certainly he will not demand the same contract now, as he will if he turned to become our first option back up on the flank two months from now.
At the moment, he is still behind pedro in the picking order. So its time to sort out things.
Noting that Busquets was an unknown quality for us. Not for the club. He was promoted to the first team while some more commonly recognized Barcelona Athletic players stayed there. Promoting him without renewing his contract that expire within 1 year costed us 500K extra payment on monthly bases for a whole season. he would have got a monthly salary of 500K plus incentives last summer then another renewal this summer (after his last season performance) equivalent to the contract he has now.
jeffren, muniesa and gai shouls be promoted. jeffren could be very good next season, because he is fantastic player.
gai needs more experience. although he was injured last season he didn't score ore assist a lot. he also was substituted a lot. he needs to prove his hisself at barca b and he needs to improve in many aspects. he is not ready for the first team by far
Barca cant have three young wingers like Pedro, Jeffren and Gai in the first team. All of them wont get enough playing time and when they are finally thrown in the fire, they should not be by far the weakest link of the team. Everyone thought that Gai would be the next big thing but he has done very little. Pedro has been surprisingly good and he has tried to emulate Messi´s tricks near the box; when he is having 1 on 1 with the defender, he makes one quick turn and launches low shot towards the goal, vs Galaxy Barca´s 1st goal came after Pedro´s fine effort.
Gai shouldnot be promoted this year he isint even part of the US Tour
Gai has been disappointing so far. He needs to improve under Luis Enrique.
i know this guy is good, but he doesnt play a more matured footbaall.like been too selfish and co.why not gai thats playing for his whole national team?
