46m + Eto'o (66m) and Hleb for a year hurts a little. Hopefully Pep gets Ibra to work his way into the Barca system.

WTF 250m! That is like 100m more than Messi!

highway robbery on Inter's part...

I'm happy its over now but Eto'o AND 46 mio. for a player that maybe isn't even better than him...

the freakin circumstances were really difficult so we had to suck it up and accept it at the end.

etoo isnt 66m, he is 15-20m

Iason...thats just the new anti-arabic clause...just in case...

at the end if someone would give me 100+ mio. I will pack Zlatans bag myself.

I think we can not look at Eto'o as 20 mil player, because he had only one year left on his contract and he would never sign new one with us...so we would loss him for free!!!

I think we paid maybe 6 mil too much and that 40 mil would be great transfer...this way it is just little less than great...

I hope he will play at least at the same level as he played in Inter...here he will have more goal chances and I hope more goals...with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi,... he will have a lot of chances....a lot of goals...

Official as official gets. I'm sure they will recoup that money and achieve profits as we always do. If Perez can recoup money on jersey sales I am sure we can do the same.

Let's be honest: Zlatan won't sell shirts like Ronaldo.

jesus thats a lot of money. that equates to more than kaka deal. never thought i'd see the day barca did a deal like this.
he better get 40+ goals this season and i hope they dont make complete fools of themselves by talking about recouping the money through shirt sales.

Well, I'm gonna buy one asap!

To recoup Zlatan's transfer fee Barca should sell 4.6m Ibrahimovic shirts.
For the record: Barca sells 2m shirts a year.

i dont care abt the fees if u look to replace etoo only two options were there villa and zlatan valencia wont sell him at ne cost so zlatan was the best

zlatan is in barca he is ibra9 so he is the best i dont care abt the details after all the trasfer saga!!!

quote of the day

racist???

its the truth...

its the owners of those English clubs that pay crazy amount of money for players...

if you have any kind of an IQ, you know that its not racist...it has nothing to do with arabic people...but oil sheikhs

also @moltisanti thats not true about us selling only 2m shirts a year, last season messi sold 3.5 million shirts worldwide and he is the most sought after name on the barca shirt, and between xavi/iniesta/henry they sold a combined 2.3 million so that blows that theory out the window and tahts just the shirt with names on the unanamed shirts must be millions upon millions trust me teh club make a big wedge ps i wish barca wud do wat my club west ham do which is only selling the shirt from the club shop and over the net taht way the club makes most of the profit about 80% not the 25% when sold through retail shops still i spose barcas image and power worldwide they can afford to run the business taht way

46 mio + eto. if the m.city-deal would go through, we would get 29 mio euro. buy villa for 46 mio or 50 mio. so what's the difference? we would have spent 21 mio eur only instead of 46 + 70% of hleb's salary

Anonymous said...

what i think is funny is that barca wouldn't pay 50 million for and the whole ibra deal come close to 66 million dollars and from what i read most people believe villa would have been a better purchase funny how things work out huh!!!

If he'll perform well, nobody will complain about the fee, so it's up to him (and the team) to silence everybody.

whatever be it guys i am glad it is over... and relieved to see the words official...

so what happens next... i mean it will be tough to get maschareno... so who else are barca looking for??

Madrid buy Benzema, we buy Keirrison for less than half the price, they buy Ronaldo, we buy Zlatan for half the price plus Eto'o, they buy Raul Albiol, we buy Henrique for 5m less, they buy more attacking players like Kaka for huge prices, we improve the areas that need improvement in our defense with a high quality player like Maxwell for 5m. They might pay 30m for Alonso, we might promote J. Dos Santos and Thaigo for free. We have gotten players that are almost as good Madrid's signings for less than 65m while they have spent 240m. People have to stop complaining about Laporta and Txiki taking to much time with transfers. They are saving us almost 200m!

the money is not much for me.zlatan has up to three years on his contract with inter and eto'o got just the last year on his.ibra is an outstanding player like eto'o is but i think he is higher than eto'o(free kick taker) even if some people say ibra is the best goal finisher,i think eto is alos the best to get goals from the very hard hole.so dont just comment on this.all i think barca should do is pay 36 million plus eto'o and hleb for free.WELCOME IBRA.

We shouldn't compare to Madrid, they're woorking with crazy prices. Better compare with Man United... The problem is that we didn't get money in this summer.

Is it just me or is the inclusion of Hleb on a loan deal (regardless of how many times it was mentioned in the media) just a little odd.. I would have understood if Barca used Hleb to drop the total financial offer, but giving him on loan AND paying 70% of his salary is just weird! I always saw it as either: 1)sell and reduce the transfer price OR 2)keep and give him another chance to fill in the midfield in case of injuries, etc. If Hleb isn't sold for 10m+ next year, then this loan deal was just all wrong!!!

Ibras positiwes:
He is tall and can head wery good, by central passes of henry, messi, inisest but expecially xavi is gona be a huge weapon, he is faast and can dribble can hold zhe ball as it realy positiv is by barca system, not to loose the ball ever. He is agresssive he is a balkan mentality a realy compromiis less person the defenders gonna hate him. His shots are hudge I remember one of his free kichks with a speed of 109km/h or more, he is a realy speciall
ist for free kicks, not like xavi... Hes shots can haert.
Hes much better then villa. Another small guy wouldent be a good idea.
Well hes price? Yes nothing is perfect, but what is a price you would like to buy a world class CF?
I think Laporta and Txiki kows what he does.

Stefan

@Stefan: good summary.

The only thing Barca needs to worry about is if Ibra works as hard (puts pressure on defenders) as Eto'o did.

@blaugrana_uk Xavier Sala i Martín - Director of Economic Area at Barcelona - told these numbers.

To Those who think that the Zlatan deal was a rip off and too expensive, well I say Txiki and laporta done a great job in making Inter believe that Eto'o was worth 20-25million Euro, when even they would not have bid that amount if we put Eto'o up for sale on his own, infact no one would have unless its the arab sheiks from Man City now theres no point talking about them because they use money like toilet paper and they do not have a clue about the value of anything that is why the Americans love going over there to create wars. Anyway....Im not being racist because i am a muslim myself although the behavior of some of these arabs is nothing related to islam. Lets talk more about our beloved Barca...so I was saying Eto'o ws only worth that much to City, anf he would not have signed another cntratc and would have left for free so we actually paid 46 Million for Zlatan plus helb who we might sell for 10 million plus including variables which would mean the actual amount we pay is about 40 million. This ain't bad considering Zlatan won Juve the title when he moved there and then single handedly won Inter 3 Scudettos because believe me Inters only star footballer in those last few years was Zlatan and he is one of the top number 9's (definately a top 3) so paying that amount for a top 3 player in the current market ain't bad business.....But if Zlata fires then all the fees will be forgotten.

Love Samuel Eto'o despite me losing my rag oer him these past weeks I still had a tear in my eyes when they showed him in Milan and no longer a Barca player.

Is this turning into an anti-arab blog?! Because I am an Arab and trust me I don't use money like toilet paper and I am no terrorist....and ANON if you had any kind of an IQ you would of wrote " the new anti-oil sheikhs clause" because that was racist in my opinion!

Unknown said...

@BarcaBrn
Calm down mate it's very possible that Sanur is an Arab himself. It was just sarcasm on his part no need to get all irritated.

"if you have any kind of an IQ, you know that its not racist...it has nothing to do with arabic people...but oil sheikhs . " Not only that you are a RACIST pig but stupid as well . Have you forgotten who started all the big spending and the skyrocketing of player prices ? Real Madrid and Chelsea are just as guilty . It is one thing to debate intelligently but to use stereotypical and racist references is another thing entirely . Discuss football and stop insisting on trying tojustify your ignorance and obvious lack of sesitivity towards other races . I doubt if you get it at all !!

@BarcaBrn..

Nobody here is racist or anti arab, anyone who is a true Cules cannot be racist because BARCA are a Universal football club we are not the Shit that is Real Madrid The evil CAPITALIST entity. So please do not take my comments personally (I apologise for any offence. What I meant is these oil rich Sheiks spend money like nothing and what Anony meant to say when he said about the anti arab clause is the same thing but i am 100% sure he meant the Oil rich Shieks not arabs so please do not take a slip of the tounge out of context and make it into a race issue. BARCA Is the biggest Football club in the world regardless of any other club making the same statements, we do not borrow money like they do, we nurture alot of our own unlike them, we never had any sponsorship unlike them, we have the largest football stadium in Europe (Almost full most of the time) and most importantly over 150,000 club members (Socios) WELL that says it all. I have seen the BARCA jersey in streets here in the UK, in Palestine on TV, In Iraq, China, everywhere, this jersey is seen and worn all over the world more than any other club and I am not saying that because I am a Cule but because its a FACT.

Visca El Barca, And I am not Arab by the way.
