Official announcement Keirrison deal postponed

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona and all parties involved have reached an agreement on the transfer of Palmeiras forward Keirrison (20) (read more here).

Barcelona and Palmeiras would nevertheless have decided to postpone the official announcement of the deal until the end of this week to get more media coverage.

Keirrison, who isn't training or playing with his team since last Friday (read more here), is expected to travel to Barcelona on Monday 13 July. After the medical tests, the Brazilian striker would sign a four-year contract. It's not yet clear if he will afterwards be officially presented at a press conference, something that will depend on the player going on loan or not (read more here).

Wonder what Bojan will think of this...
I like him though!

I don't see what's so special about him. He doesn't create his chances. He just benefits from someone else's hard work. I personally think Berg is better.

i got scared looking at the title saying deal postponed n i thought that the deal has some more complications. as happpy we've signed someone so tat even if Eto leaves, we have atlaest 1 replacement.

That's probably exactly what we need at Barcelona. We don't want someone who can play excellently and want to show that to the whole world. We want just someone who moves smart and scores the chances he get offered.

sounds like eto'o to me.
(:

So let's keep Eto'o and use this guys as back-up. Bojan can play at the left so in two-three years time we could have:

Messi-Keirrison-Bojan

^^^What about Gai??[:P]

Rumours say that Barca offered Etoo extention of his contract. If it is true, and Etoo will stay, than Villa will stay put as well. So it may mean that K9 will hopefully stick with Barca

K9 is a good signing for Barca..Best part is, he is crazy to play for Barca and i feel he will remain loyal to the club, when he starts settling down!! All the best kid. Bring us more trophies...

Barcelona has bought a player that has more potential than Benzema and scores more goals in a harder league for half the price of what Madrid paid for Benzema. I think this is a great purchase and with Bojan as our LW and Keirrison as our Striker, not to mention a certain someone for the RW, we indeed have a bright future. I don't know where Gai fits into these plans but he may not get to play for another few years with the way things are going now in Israel.

My ideal summer transfer period would be:

In: Keirrison, Henrique, Bruno Alves, promote Thiago, David Villa or just keep Eto'o, promote Mino
Out: Jorquera, loan out Caceres, Milito, Guddy, maybe Eto'o, Hleb/Pedro.

This would greatly improve squad depth and would cost about 40-55m.
