Italian club Inter Milan has yesterday officially announced the transfer of former Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta (26).
The Brazilian defensive midfielder, who leaves his current club Genoa after one season, has signed a four-year contract with the Italian champions.
It's not clear how much Inter Milan has paid for Motta, although the club states that Inter youth players Francesco Bolzoni, Leonardo Bonucci and Riccardo Meggiorini are joining Genoa on a permanent basis as part of the deal. Genoa has officially confirmed the deal.
Thiago Motta came through the Barcelona youth ranks and joined the first team during the 2001-2002 season. In the summer of 2007, the defensive midfielder left for Atlético Madrid. With Barcelona, Motta won two Spanish leagues in 2005 and 2006, two Spanish super cups in 2005 and 2006 and one Champions League in 2006.

Great to see out youth players going this far (even not in our team), although I didn't expect it anymore after his injuries. The Italian style also fits him perfectly, I think.
Although the party partners Roanldinho and Motta are now re-united in Milan and don't know if that will be good for his career...
He went to inter Milan, not AC milan...they will be in the same city but not in the same club!!
I remember that we sold him to Athletico Madrid for 2 million euro,Athletico released him for free,Genoa signed him and now he is sitting for inter milan for not less than 25 Million.
Now Can't we say that the marketing policy of Barca SUCKS?!!!!We lost a jewel, simply!!and Genoa had the cream of the cake.
well atletico r worse letting this guy go for free, plus maniche, setiraidis n leo franco for free. when they cud have easily earned 15-20m for these four players.
