Gai could leave on loan

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker and Israel youth international Gai Assulin (18) could leave on loan this summer.

The intitial plan reportedly was that Gai would switch between the first and the second team next season but because the player still didn't get his Spanish nationality, that won't be possible. Without the double nationality, the player couln't return to the B-team anymore after he has played a game with the first team.

Barcelona is now looking at the issue and would be considering to let the player leave on loan to a Spanish first or second division team or a foreign club. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, it would still be an option that Gai takes part in the pre-season training camp in London (read more here).

spanish second division teram ?

that is with the whole new messi thing .

why he is not getting his passport?

he is allready ages in barcelona ...

if he goes to 2. division league we may never hear from him again .

loan him to espanyol or club that promoted , and include in the deal that for every ganme he plays as a starter and stay at least 80 min . the club will get 8% of the loan fee back .

so if he play regulary he will cost them nothing

Last year he played in Third Division and didn't play that well. I'm not sure why you think playing in the second division would be a step down. It could be a good chance to get experience at a higher level for him.

He had two serious injuries and he did the summer with Israel u21 so he wasn't physically prepared for the season to start with. That's why he had a bad season.

Uhm he hasnt played for the first team yet, what about players like busquets pep? Cant we register gai for the B team and move him up for games after he gets his nationality? Didnt messi have a similar problem and get his nationality just a few days before la liga started btw?

barca4life, we know he hasn't played for the first team yet. But once he does he can't go back to the B team because of his passport situation. That means we can't use the strategy we used with Busquets, Sanchez, Pedro last year. The original plan was to use that strategy with Gai next year.

What about players like Busquets? He was supposed to be like Pedro & Victor Sanchez but he turned out good enough to compete for a place full time on the first team so he stayed. Because he's a Spanish player he could have moved freely between the two teams.

The problem is they apparently don't know how long it will take for him to get the passport, b4l.

pep what about the rumour that RM has signed benzema? did you her about that?

then the villa transfers to us would be more likely...

Lyon denied it to L'Equipe, saying they have already received better offers than the 35 million referred to in Marca and As and that there's no deal with anybody.

Marca AS and el mundo have refered to it. I think Marca and AS tend to have the news first about madrid but sometimes they lie so you cant take everything at face value. They say the deal isnt quite done, but in the next few hours it should happen. Keep in mind they said the same thing about albiol, but also keep in mind that perez said villa to madrid is just a matter of time

Back to the gai issue though, he said he was willing to spend another year with the B team, but if he cant be sure of when he will get his passport and he wants to play at a higher level, i wont be opposed to a loan. He is only 18 though so he has time to get stronger and have a better season with the B team

loaning out gai would be a good option, prob to a team that will play european ball.

IDC about Franco CF (RM)

Im happy for their fans and it will make la liga better.

to me it will bring me more joy when barca beats them and wins la liga + CL.

benzema to real for 35millions. what a bargain :s
we are paying more for an older striker!!

I don't understand why his pasport doesn't get fixed! Maybe we should loan him out to az, the team of ronald koeman. I surely would lend him out to a dutch side. Ajax or Az (they play 4- 3 - 3)

This is the Di Stefano case all over again, stupid madrid putas. If Gia had played for real, he would have has his dual citizenship, the minute he sat foot on spanich ground, for the first time.

That being said, I like him to do the preseason with the first team. If he does good enough he can stay for the regular season, if not he should go on loan preferently Ajax.

I'm happy that madrid bought ronaldo and could be in for benzema. It makes man utd weaker and la liga stronger. I hope either barca or real get mascherano or xabi alonso and barca get cesc. Time for La Liga to be the biggest league in the world again. The world will take notice when we thrash real madrid again.

RM is getting stronger and stornger but this wont make lal liga the strongest because the other teams in laliga are getting weaker , valencia for example if they lose will get weaker and so ...

so we will have 2 teams from laliga who gonna be strong in CL but the englich clubs have 4 .
and i have the big feeling that RM will be strong at laliga but they will flop big in CL .

Villa and Silva to barca for 70 mil, plus loan of Keirrison and Gai to Valencia

skanjos said...

so acording to anony you want to pay 83-85mil for villa and silva....and we only have 30-35 atm. now that eto isnt leaving we should focus on renewing him keep keirrison and promote gai,
get a cheap LB and a very good midfielder(macherano/xabi alonso) and we are set to go.also muniesa will play both for a and b team.

gai should be promoted he is 18 already, and he is better than pedro for the wings.

Only valencia is getting weaker. Villareal and Atletico Madrid are strong. And villareal and atletico madrid both did well against man utd and liverpool in the champions league
