Deadline for Filipe transfer

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona has set a deadline for the transfer of Deportivo La Coruña left back defender Filipe Luis (23).

If on Tuesday, Barcelona still didn't receive a positive answer to the 8 million euro bid°, Barcelona will consider the negotiations as cancelled and will focus on trying to sign centre-backs.

Deportivo would have received a higher bid from an English or italian club but the player reprtedly prefers to join Barcelona.

If the signing of a LB fails, the club will try to sign two centrebacks instead. Weird, makes no sense. Why not try another LB then?

I hope barca sign him I really want a signing I am not sure if he is good but all of you bloggers says he is good But I think abidal is good enough to play lb is 8m a good deal

Man, I thought all of these dealings has come to some sort of conclusion, only needing to be finalised and yet except for K9 (which in truth itself has yet to be declared), all have gone sour.

I guess the board is in no hurry as they may be hoarding the cash for the january transfer window.

It's so weird, Anony, that I didn't even really went in too it but they actually say that if they don't get Filipe, they will try to sign BOTH Chygrynskiy and Bruno Alves, with Puyol than being back-up for Abidal...

barca4life said...

Yeah it will be

RB : Dani Alves - Puyol/Henrique Backup

CB : Pique Marquez Puyol Henrique Bruno Alves/Chygrynsky Botia Muniesa Milito

LB : Abidal - Puyol/Muniesa Backup

@ Pep

Can you alone filter out comments as most sites usually have more than one moderator to watch over comments. I'm of the impression that you're the only one.

If my suggestion is of any value, can you just delay the comments nade by non-registered users and ofcourse Anonymous commenters, while registered google accounts commenters get to chat, if they so wish, in real-time, as always. That way you can just ban any of the registered accounts if you deem them offensive after a few warnings. That way you don't have to trawl all of the comments made.

Another way would be to let fellow commenters "police" the comments by flagging comments as negative (limit one flag per registered user), thereby after say 5-10 flags, the comments get automatically deleted.

Filipe is a good young player. Surely we can offer 10 or 11m euros? Instead we are going to offer far more than that for Bruno Alves?

Google doesn't have that last system, buj. And some spammers also have google accounts... ;) But we're looking into things.

NO centre backs instead of LB!
Puyol can cover at left but who will colver of both Alves and Abidal is ruled out ?

Adn if we dont sign this Player it wont be our first who we "loose"

We just wanted to push Hernanes pricetag down last summer, so much that it happend nothing.
The same with k9 last summer I think?

again we are not capable of sign a player who wants to play for barca.

why can other clubs can pay the 12mil but barca not?

we always have a problem to sign players. the barca staff is always putting their own price for a player.

what would it be if chelsea gives us 100mil for messy while they know that barca has put a 150mil tag price on him?

why can't we just sign the players for the amount of what they are worth?

we are too greedy i think

if it goes on like this we will end up with keirrison only as a new player

As I said earlier Filipe transfer is of. Barca signed Michel Bastos for 12 millions.

@anurag

Maybe, maybe not:) We will see who's right and who's wrong:)

think that 8 million are too little money for a 23year old player, who was at the best team of la liga last season and is promised as a talented future player.
we should be serious and pay money that is worth and try really to get him, if we want him.
otherwise the whole thing makes no sense.
to say, we pay 8 millions, because he came only as a substitute seems too poor to me.
is he really worth for barca, if he ain't worth more than that money?
good, that this decision is not on me.
hope we get him, as i think we would lose a possibility to get talent into our squad

Anoymous when will we sign him and the other players you said

Unknown said...

Hey pep I think it would be a good idea to have a little compition to gues the new transfers like what we done for the get in side peps head.
Its just a thought:)

LeónDragón said...

i meant, called for the best eleven of la liga

pep said...

The problem is, shane, that it's not only about Pep's head but also about who's available and how much money we can spend. So I think it would all be a little too difficult...

barca4life said...

Why doesnt anonymous who claims barca has signed bastos put a name so we can praise you when you prove to be right :).

Ok pep it was just an idea thanks for replying back

Bruno Alves has become increasingly impatient at the lack of progress over his transfer to Barcelona, the player's father has revealed.

According to Record, Washington Alves, the player's father and representative, told the Spanish media when asked about Barcelona's interest, "Bruno is delighted, because it is a pride that such a big club have asked about him.

"However, even though he knows he has an offer from one of the best clubs in the world, he still does not have his future sorted out, which is why he is starting to become worried."

I wonder if our chase of villa isnt looking more and more like real madrid's chase of ronaldo last season. Villa now seems to be more like an obsession of laporta than anything else while everything else seems to be put on hold.

barca4life said...

Fiorentina have said arsenal are the only team that have come close to their valuation of melo. I heard a rumour a few weeks back that arsenal were moving for him and i posted it here.

why doesn't the club buy back Crosas and send him to Deportivo along with Valiente and 10 million Euros

Inlude a buy-back option on Crosas and if Valiente does well then Deportivo can buy him
