Asked about the new rumours linking Manchester United central defender and Serbian international Nemanja Vidic (27) with a move to Barcelona (read more here), the player's agent Paolo Fabbri has said in an interview with Catalan radio station RAC 1 that the player would like to join Barcelona:
"Vidic would be delighted to play at Barça because it's his dream to play in the Spanish league. We have to analyze the situation but at this moment one should be realistic and see that things are complicated. The team has just let go Cristiano Ronaldo and Tévez and they don't want to lose another key player."

tempting... but he is not a type of centre-back barcelona plays with... he really can't handle ball control but is great otherwise
damn real madrid...they have ruined all our transfers.
1) played with ribery and made him think of madrid only
2) took xabi alonso, which made mascherano impossible for us
3) took ronaldo, and is making it hard to get vidic.
Can't blame Real Madrid. We can only blame Txiki and the rest of our staff.

Guardiola really has a centre-back obsession! But I think we will or sign someone on loan, or -like said by the other before- do something in January.

Vidic will end up staying with Manchester. And I agree that Real made targets overpriced and hard to get, but also Txiki needs to step up his game. Some time ago "Mundo Deportivo" claimed Barcelona had secured Ribery and then Perez came and everything changed.

I would rather see a guy like Daniel Agger from Liverpool. He is younger and alot better with the ball. He would be the perfect solution for our CB
Yes, Agger is fantastic young player and good defender for Barcelona style. Vidic is good, but not for us, he's good for games in England because he's very strong and play good in the air. For Barca, deffender have to be good with the ball, fast and it's not like playing for United where all players defending a goal because they are not so offensive like Barca. Better players for us are Agger or Chivu.

These mother fuckers, they play only tantalizing games with us, our Txiki ends up going all guns for them without considering even any alternatives & ultimately we end up with nothing because in the end their club either asks us for way too much money or they do not want to spend to us at all. It has been the same saga through out the summer; Filipe Luis, David Villa, Mascherano, Fabregas & Chyhrynskiy. And in most of the cases Pep gets pissed and wouldn't accept any other players at all :( Except for Villa where we had to sell Eto'o and Ibra was a nequally rated star.
I hope this is not a mind game of Fergi to stop us getting stronger. Because last time when asked, Vidic replied he only wants to stay at ManUtd. and he even got pay-raise already. Fergi might have learned about our transfer saga
