Talks with Racing Santander on Henrique loan

Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona central defender Henrique Adriano Buss (22) with a loan move to Racing Santander (read more here), Racing president Francisco Pernía has confirmed in an interview with Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio that talks are ongoing:

"Henrique is a player we like a lot and we want him to play with Racing. Now we're negotiating the numbers of the operation. We should be well aware of those so we don't get into trouble during the season."

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona thinks that a loan to Racing could be the ideal solution for the coming season. The Spanish club would nevertheless become impatient because the player's agents are postponing a deal.

So if I count well we have now 22 squad players.

Minus Milito is 21.

Minus Henrique is 20.

With Jorquera and Gudjohnsen possibly also leaving and no youth players being promoted that could leave us with a squad of 18 players. I don't expect us to make more transfers than one, so we could start the season where we will be playing for the six trophies with only 19 guys...

Fontas and Muniesa do way better then Henrique so its not a big loss.

Jorquera is a very bad keeper and it doesnt make big difference if the keeper number 3 is him or a young player like Oier.

And Gudjohnsen is staying for another season.

Felt very good that Henrique has been included in the squad to play against Bilbao this Sunday. Think the coach is finally starting to have some confidence in the Brazilian. Hope he's not loaned out until we know some thing about the Chyhrynskiy transfer

Henrique needs to be given more opportunities. He is not a crack but he is a decen player. If he plays on Sunday and shows that he is good and deserves a spot perhaps Pep will keep him on the team.
