THIS is the problem for us in transfer window. We put up an extraordinary buy-out clause for all our players & then HOPE to buy players from other ELITE clubs for market price. Hell, even Aguero has only 60 million buy-out clause. I don't think the board would be ready to put a bid of even 12 million for Pedro if he belonged to some other club and showed similar potential...

The buyout clause isnt what we expect people to pay. Its meant to deter other clubs from bidding for our players because we arent a selling club.

But when you go out to sign players from big European clubs obviously it means they are considered a selling club and that won't project a very good impression on us

And we seem to have troubles in shipping out stars for market prices, that's may be because of the impression that we create in the market that we are not a selling club... That definitely is a wrong notion in my opinion

I disagree you see how nobody is dumb enough to try to bid for Messi Xavi Iniesta. Its cause they know that there is no chance in hell we will sell our stars. With Arsenal on the other hand you dont have that feeling. I think we got good prices for ronaldinho deco zambrotta Gio and several other based on what they have done since they have left.

This is great news!
Pedro is a talent, good ball controll, good dribbling and he has a good shoot (minus the horrible free kick against city in the first half).
He's way better than Bojan

So weird how we literally have nooo clue who will be signing with us..to be honest if no players will b promoted we neeeeeeed to do some signings. I still think thiago and dos santos shud stay.

I dont see this as great news. It just means that Pep is counting on Pedro this year instead of buying someone new. And to be honest I dont see Pedro or Bojan for that matter as a future Barca star. I hope they prove me wrong.

The thing with the youth-players being promoted or not is irrelevant. They will be there when the first team needs them anyway. But if we look at it from a distance it's clear they wont get that many minutes with the first team, so they might just as well stay in the b-team and play regularly. Just because you get promoted, or is considered a member of the first-team squad, it doesn't necessarily mean you get a lot of minutes with them. Just look at Hleb and Caceres. They where "first-team players" and they didn't get to play a lot more than some b-team players last season. Dos Santos, Thiago, Jeffren and others will get their chances with Barca, and maybe even someone will outshine the so kalled first-team players (like Gudjohnsen and Henrique. Yesterday a saw a lot of quality and ambition on the field and I'm sure this will work out just fine lads! Don't push the panic-button yet!

futbolmercado claims Barca is looking into alternatives since they could not acquire the services of the players they were looking to sign, and they might be Diego Capel & Adriano Correia Claro of Sevilla... Can some one elaborate on these guys please?

Futbolmercado also claims that Fiorentina & Juventus are about to bid for César Azpilicueta... God I'm getting restless with all these transfer rumors and the FEELING that we are missing out on a very good promising players, that too who are very needed for us. César Azpilicueta could be very good replacement for VicSan, and also a player for future who's already a level above him...

perhaps its time we save aguero from Atletico?

This guy is not good enough to play for Barca. He got alot of minutes last season and also alot of games this pre-season and he havnt convinced me at all just because he scored a couple of goals. We need a LW who can create something on his own and Pedro cant do that
