You see what confidence can do with a player. Last year he wouldn't have done this, even against Timisoara.

b4l: He played great against Chelsea with Arsenal.

We never let him play in central midfield though. He got games on the wings every 2 months.

So what if Hleb scored? I really don't understand you guys. He playes non-stop for Stuttgart, and of course he's gonna score. In Barca he didn't play half an hour all together, and he didn't score.

If he scored, that doesn't mean that we should've kept him and that Pep made a mistake. No. That means that he can play against these low-level clubs, in a team where he is the star.

I don't think he was the biggest star in Arsenal. But he was one of their best players and Cesc and Hleb were best pals because of their understanding on the pitch.

he is a good player, but Pep not gives him a lot chances

Pep didnt give him any chance !!

i mean take messi let him play 2-3 hours all season as a defender and you can say ooo he is aweful i will loan him for free.

the same was done with hleb , its like this when pep doesnt like a person he just eleminate him.

Hleb didnt play real matches as a MF player last season and confidence is important for many players...

i think this is a very bad way of tranferpolicy too , if he got his chance and atleastplayed some games ok we could have signed Cesc this season for hleb + 10 M believe me Wenger would have accept if Hleb had the same form like he played in arsenal.

now we let him leave for free(next season ) and we will spend 50 M on Cesc.

this what pep need to learn , a coach make players feel comfortable to get the best of them ...

but look at caceres Henriche Hleb they all could do well.

Look Caceres and Hleb got their chances. They did not take them. Everybody here was complaining that Caceres was terrible and made several glaring errors. If you win the treble as a coach chances are you are doing something right.

Only 4 other teams in the history of the game have done the treble Ajax and Man Utd Celtic and PSV. So shut the hell up about pep this and that. No other teams in the history of football have ever done that.

Hleb does not want to work for his place, he turned down inter because they would not guarantee him first team football. He only wants to go to small teams where he does not have to work for his place.

How many chances did Hleb get in central midfield b4l? Remember, Hleb isn't a winger.

There is the team for him not much to "Expect On" team, but enough to play in europe.. Great for him !

@ b4l - benfica too i think.

but i agree, hleb was not ready to fight for a place, he wanted everything on a platter.

No benfica didnt anurag. I checked. how many chances did hleb get in CM? Iniesta was out for 2 months, if hleb was doing well in training dont you think guardiola would have picked him at that time? Or do you think guariola is so insane that hleb would have been doing well in training and he was just leaving him out cause he doesnt like people from belarus?

Great goal. On a cheap background though, technical skilled wonders like Oleguer Presas or Edmilson could have done the same thing against Tiramisu. Such a shitty team. I'm in no way impressed.

Well, there you go. He didn't get any chances to prove himself in midfield. I think we can safely say that it was a mistake to loan him out this season. Our squad is razor thin, we lack cover for Iniesta and Xavi, everybody knows this, we won't get Cesc, forget about that, so we are stuck with our razor thin squad and half a dozen players out on loan.

Hleb is a good player but he just needed some confidence and continuity. Not to mention that he rarely played in his natural position as many of you already said. Besides that I think Hleb should have stayed this season since like someone said before the squad is thin and Iniesta gets injured quite often. And let's not forget that Keita and Toure will be gone for a month or so.

I dont think Hleb ever got a chance at Barca. He only got a couple of minutes when the game was over, even Pedro got in before him
