Cesc wants Barcelona to keep on trying

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Arsenal midfielder and Spain international Cesc Fabregas (22) is still hoping for a transfer to Barcelona.

Cesc would have decided that he wants to return to Barcelona this summer because he wants to start winning trophies and because that doesn't seem likely at Arsenal after the club sold players like Kolo Touré and Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Catalan player would have asked the Barcelona board that they keep trying until 31 August, the last day of the summer transfer window. Barcelona would previously have made Arsenal an offer of 30 million euros° but the English Premier League reportedly replied they are only willing to start talking when there's a bid of 45 million euros°.

Cesc wants to return,he's wasting his time at Arsenal. I'm sure he already has an agreement for next year.

rubbish, IMO. after the everton match, he had said he was HAPPY to see them leave, because they were not happy at the club.

Oh! Only we don't need you fabregas! We got Thiago & Dos Santos now :)

May be Fab already tracked down the performances of our youngsters and the fear that, they might utilize their chances & get into first team in near future and so he would never be bought back, has crept into his brain.

Arsenal can just hope for the English cup. With such a young team, you can't compete for the big prizes. They always play brilliantly one half of the season, but don't do anything the other. It must be so frustrating for him. Time is running. This summer is impossible, but next year he'll sure be a Barça player.

Dont need him! We have Jona dos Santos and Thiago. What a display against Man City!!!!

Yes, Dos Santos and Thiago are great potentials, but we need Cesc so much. I would pay for him 40 millions + Thiago or Dos Santos on loan. For Chirgynsky 25 million too. The best option for our young players is loan peiod in clubs where they can completly improving themselfs. I would take Pedro and Jonathan for the first tem, rest players put on loan in clubs where they can play moore games. If we want results there is no time and enough place for development of 5 - 6 young players.

Yes Thiago and Dos Santos is good enough for Xavi backup. But their lack in creativity and passing. That's why we need Cesc badly for Xavi back-up or midfield duo.

I want Cesc back badly too, but if he really wants to come back, he should put in a transfer request, especially now that he can't play in the Champion's League.

Well, sure Cesc is always welcome but the point is are we ready to splash the cash for him after wenger insists that he is not for sale. Well maybe next summer he will arrive,i really find it rather confusing since catalan newspaper always(Or frequently)publish news concerning his eagerness to come since i don't know how true it is,but surely Pep is too obssessed with that Chigri...than cesc who is much better

Cesc shoul just focus on Arsenal this year as he is not gonna be signed for Barcelona this season. He has already played a Champions game so bringing him now would be like buying Lass and Vander Vaart.
45M is a lot of money for just one player, the fee of 30 seems more reasonable. Barcelona should wait until next season to get him if they really need him by then.

Hmm... is there any midfield player with the same calibre of Xavi or good prospect and lower prize than Cesc?
