Barcelona considers move for Vidic

British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that Barcelona are considering a move for Manchester United central defender and Serbian international Nemanja Vidic (27).

Barcelona’s interest would have been prompted by reports that the player's wife, Ana, wants to leave for a warmer climate (read more here). There would be fears at Manchester United that his wife's unhappiness may force Vidic, whose current contract expires in 2012, to consider other options.

Vidic would be a great addition to the defence. for years this is what Barcelona lacked. big defenders. Vidic and Pique would be a deadly pair in the defence. i think Puyol plays well as a left back, and i wouldnt mind seeing him there until he retires too.

he's good but not sure if he's good for la liga, he is sloooooooooow. with our d-line so close to the midfield line, i don't want to imagine what trouble it may cause playing pique and vidic together when they get sliced open with a through ball..
