Barcelona player Andrés Iniesta was once before in Rome. When he was 15 years old, a delegation of FC Barcelona was received by pope John Paul II during the celebrations of Barcelona's 100 years existence. Iniesta was chosen to represent Barcelona's youth academy and handed the pope a gift.
