Barcelona considering bid for Milan striker Pato

German football site 4-4-2 claims that Barcelona is interested in AC Milan forward and Brazilian international Alexandre Pato (19).

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would like to sign the player and Barcelona is said to consider making a bid during the summer transfer window.

Although Milan doesn't think about letting the Brazilian striker leave, Barcelona would be ready to offer Barcelona forward Thierry Henry (31) plus seven million euro° for Pato, who has a contract with Milan until 2012.

barca will not swap any player + cash. this is not the way the manage transfers. pato is good but why buying him and loaning out bojan? pato is great and i'm sure he will become a world class striker one day (maybe fifa world player, too) but whether milan will let him go nor barca is interested in such a young striker. we need player for the first 11, not for the second because there we have enough talents awaiting some practise minutes.

The boy is an excellent prospect. He will be a future World Player of the Year. I think he would be great for Barca but I can't see Milan selling him and I think they wont sell for min $30 million. I don't see him as a direct replacement for Eto'o though. He is more in the Kun mould. I am not sure where he would fit in but I would love to have him.

Don't believe that, 4-4-2 is the most unreliable source on the whole internet.

but pato is 10 times better than bojan,he has better shot, better dribling, better header,he is stronger,faster...
bojan is not that good just becauses he is spanish and he is young everybody is pushing him,"like he is our raul"

Sell Henry so that we can get Pato? Sorry but that does not make an awful lot of footballing sense in my opinion.

i diagree with the comments above. I think he could play as first striker, hes good enough, with the supply barca will give him, he will fit right in. A current and future replacemnt for eto

are barcelona scouts stupid??? look at edin dzeko... that man scored 43 goals in 49 matches for wolfsburg this year. chelsea, arsenal, liverpool, milan are watching him... and he is 23 years old. also he is a top scorer in qualifications for WC 2010 with 7 goals in 6 matches. GET DZEKO BARCA!!!

Seems like the complete package. Extremely good header of crosses. Good balance, powerful shot, good pace and sharpness, control could be a bit better though.

Doubt Milan will let him go, seems like a goldmine.

I prefer Keirisson over Pato though we already have Bojan. Please don't waste our money over Pato although he's good and very talented.

I agree with emir k. If we need a striker it's Dzeko. World class and complete. He is perfect for us.

pato is great, but dont expect him to leave. milan will have no need for money after kaka goes to madrid and they will want to keep pieces to try to create a second milan dynasty. someone like pato isnt going anywhere, hes first team proven and young to boot, it just wouldnt make sense. i would prefer kerrison anyway, barca is godlike when we have a functioning number 9.

Please do not start to post that crap from that crappy side, it would really do bad to your excellent page!

He is very talented, definitively an option for LWF together with Ribery, Silva and maybe Tevez.

dzeko and llorente shud be considered, both can be world class. bt i think llorente is a must n shud be snapped up quickly, plus dzeko wud cost too much as clubs wud get into a bidding war.

Three words. This Won't Happen. :D

afraid it won't happen , indeed. but he's first class. he's got it, perfect replacement for eto'o or henry. he can do both.. eto'o didn't have more credentials when he came to barça. I prefer pato over villa! because he's younger and in my opninion more talented
