Manchester City preparing offer for Puyol

British tabloid The Sun claims that Manchester City is interested in Barcelona central defender and Spanish international Carles Puyol.

Puyol, whose contract expires at the end of next season, would be seen as the back-up alternative if the English Premier League club fails to sign their first choice, Chelsea centre-back John Terry. Manchester City would already be in talks with Puyol's advisers and preparing an offer.

and this is why the board shouldnt deal with transfers, give a sum to the coach and let him decide what he needs,i trust guardiola more than i trust txiki.although this article is written by AS,i dont think guardiola agreed this year to sell eto without asking him,the board deals with the transfers and sadly the coach has no say,,just scout reports and txiki.......

not that txiki hasnt done good job in the past but we were extremely lucky cause in the start they wanted beckham and after the failure we signed ronaldinho which was one of the biggest success transfers in the history of club.

we all know that guardiola said that he doesnt know if he signs new contract,he said he wants the new board to chooce whoever they want without hurting the club with contract money termination.lets hope next year the new board trusts guardiola more

regarding the etoo thing guardiola himself commented that he needs a strong and tall cf
so its rubbish that guardiola is unhappy abt etoo being sold
and its just madrid based it came after many commented that madrid have galacticos but barcelona r team so its to destabilize us
