Galicia regional newspaper El Ideal Gallego claims that Deportivo La Coruña left back defender Filipe Luis (23) could give a press conference tomorrow.
Filipe would have confirmed this to the paper when arriving in A Coruña yesterday after having returned earlier than expected from holiday to talk with Deportivo president Augusto César Lendoiro.
The player's agent José Carlos Lages told the paper that Filipe will travel today to Madrid to try and talk with the president about his transfer to Barcelona. If the meeting the player asked with Lendoiro wouldn't go through today or tomorrow, Filipe reportedly wants to make publicly clear that he wants to join Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona would have made a bid of 9,4 million euro° for Filipe: 8 million euro° would go to Deportivo and 1,4 million euro° would go to the Brazilian's former team Rentistas. The Uruguayan club still needs to receive money from Deportivo for the transfer of Filipe last year.
Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain did not raise the first 8 million euro° offer like had been said before (read more here), while Deportivo is asking 12 to 13 million euro° for the Brazilian left back.

10 million euro =
14 million us dollar
8,5 million british pound
i think after all is said and done...he will be a barca player.
especially if he's this adamant to play for us.
i dont think depor wants a player who doesn't want to play for them.
let's hope.
pep when will the barca-ireland fixtures be anounced and what website
You mean the Barcelona Atletic games in Ireland?
I don't know, I just know they have been officially announced by Barcelona on their website:
http://www.fcbarcelona.cat/web/castellano/noticies/futbol_base/temporada08-09/06/n090610105473.html
another rumour and i won't believe till it is official, today it is Santos tomorrow it is Fellipe Luis i am sure next week it will be Olegeur
Nothing is official until it's confirmed by the club, lawrenzo.
If you don't want to read unofficial things, there's only one address: www.fcbarcelona.cat
lol oleguer god forbid :D
Now we are happy to have a player who is trying to do an "ETO" by calling a press conf. hmm... its suits us well and all like the guy for calling in the press that he wants to go against the wish of his club. Every player has his value and the club has said what they want. So, when Filipe calls on for us in 2012, dont be sad like you all are now.
My theory about Barca's bad seasons 06/07 and 07/08 was that Oleguer was allowed to play too much.
Too much? Too little, you mean. In 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, he played almost every single game and we were the best team in Europe.
What changed between 04-06 and 06-08?
1. Oleguer lost his place as starter
2. Larsson wasn't there anymore
FACT!
My theory about Barca's better season in 05/06 compared to 06/07 and 07/08 was that Oleguer was allowed to play more.
Your theory is contradicted by the facts, CKoon: he lost his place to Zambrotta.
2004-2005: Oleguer always starter as centre-back
2005-2006: Oleguer always starter as centre-back or right-back
2006-2008: Oleguer on the bench
It sounds incredible but it's liek this. Oleguer lost his place and the team went down. Not sauing that there's any correlation, but...
It is funny because on Wikipedia they already have Felipe Luis and Henrique on the team with numbers 12 and 16 respectivly. People don´t have patience and are already changing to what they expect. Guddie is number 31 because someone was probably about to add Villa at 7.
I hope he can have enough pressure on his club to let the move.
Brandon FcB,i checked Wikipedia and ididn't see anything huh? well let's up it becomes reality
maybe its their prices.. felipe 12M
and keirrison 16M lol...
