Valencia majority shareholder not closing Villa door

Former Valencia president Vicente Soriano, who wants to return to power after he obtained the majority of the shares of the club last weekend, explained his plans this evening at a press conference.

Regarding the sale of the key players of the club, among which Valencia forward and Spanish international David Villa (27) and
Valencia left wing attacker and Spanish international Juan Mata (21), Soriano said that there's no need for any of them to be sold, although he also commented that when a club shows interest or a player wants to leave, the matter will be discussed and a decision will be taken.

This is goooooooood.

I was expecting worse but this is not bad. Its like hez ready to sell Villa. Hope the board stops bargaining with money and gives them what they are asking for.
Its high time we accept the fact that nothing will come for cheap this summer. Its either pay or get lost.
Paying 50m for Villa in the "present market" is absolutely fine by me.
Real Madrid are mad i agree but the damage has bin done and we can only accept it. Its business after all !

I remember hearing that Soriano asked Villa last summer to stay for one more season, then he is free to leave. I don't trust these sorts of reports because it's impossible for a reporter to have any knowledge of private conversations (bar leak cases). But if there is a grain of truth in that, then Soriano should act on the gentlemen's agreement. Villa said he is planning on playing CL next season at the end of the season before Valencia failed to qualify for it.

So is the first claim of that anoymous guy gonna be true? so Bastos and Fab deals the next to be concluded? :P

This report was up even before the Sport report. Good job!

But again, Soriano is one of the most bipolar owners!

He says there is no need to sell so that could me we are right back to "if a crazy offer comes in we will sell" on the other hand he says if a player wants to leave, which says that if villa hands in a transfer request they may also sell. Remember villa just renewed his contract last season as did silva so valencia would be in the driver's seat even if they did decide not to sell him. Lets hope they do decide to let him go.

i'm sick of these kind of news, I hope someday soon I read this news: "BARCA SIGNED DAVID VILLA"...untill that day these news are nothing but a bunch of rumours...all I know is barca didn't sign anyone yet!

Wrong topic, hadi. This is one of the few non-rumours since there was actually a press conference... ;)

OMG Stupid Laporta, and Guardiola arent even smart at all. Why wont they just be a little crazy not like RMD. Just buy good players right away. We just need to offer this guy 45m euros.Stupid Laporta!
But Guardiola isnt even any smarter look at the begining of the season he just wanted to sell Eto'o right away and now they want him because how good he did this season. WOW! and now eto'o just wants to leave Guardiola you made the biggest mistake for barca watch if eto;o leaves we will have like 50mil euros and we get villa and casc nd will be good but wish for tevez more betr than villa but whateve guardiola why dd u even have to say that

One thought, When is Villa and Mata going to take some initiative. I mean it takes shit for Eto to roll over on his bosses, even if they may deserve it, but what about Villa and Mata? I mean you ***holes didn't pay us for nearly a month or so and you want to stop us from moving to a winning club and collecting a regular paycheck. Time to play hardball boys - would the new Valencia boss be willing to let the world perceive him as being so hard headed as to stop his palyers from moving on to better things and NOT TO MENTION getting paid!

Lets get our Men...Villa and Mata hopefully both InshahAllah...

well actually Beltrocco...according to the press conference samu's agent held...Guardiola never stated that he didn't want samu.
it was more of the actions...or the inaction of the board.
