I just read on a Swedish sport site that Ribéry denied the report from L'Equipe of him saying he wanted to go to Madrid, but I'm not sure how reliable that is.

Orginally the report is from a German newspaper called Tz - I tried to look it up but I can't say how freely the Swedish site translated the article because it doesn't exactly add up with my Google translation.

If anyone speaks/reads German fluently, maybe we can have an accurate interpretation?

Here's the link:

so if this deal actually DOES go through which...i hav to say i'm very skeptical about because of all the media crap.
it looks like if we STILL want to go after villa it would have to be a straight cash swap...seeing as the loan of bojan is absolutely ruled out.
hmm...

Trading a needed new-signed striker for a useless defender? Donk think so. The source isnt that reliable either...

bruno alves is good, can cover the aerial threat, good in set peices

and porto play good attacking football will get chance there and also champions league experience .. it is a good league for brasilians to adapt to europe so good for keirrison

on the contrary if keirrison is used here then the villa bid may collapse or we would end up paying 50m in cash for him coz villa is desperate to join us .only if he forces then only thgs can change
since u cant hold on to big players for so long if they want to go and villa would not want to miss this chance in this phase of his carrer .hope he forces his way out to us

He just say he was misinterpreted and that he doesn't really want to leave Bayern.

No more Bruno Alves for huge money-rumours please! They are such bad bad news!

Why, why, why do we want bruno Alves? isnt a left back, a left winger, a backup for the right wing, some midfielders instead of Hleb and Guddy and for Keita and Toure going to Africa next year or a new striker or a contract extension for Eto'o more important!?

Okay then, bring in David Villa, Bruno Alves, keep Henrique, keep Eto'o and bring in another verstatile midfielder.

Next Season:

Valdes (Pinto/Mino)

Alves (Henrique/Puyol) Bruno Alves (Puyol/Milito) Pique (Marquez/Henrique) Puyol (Abidal/Henrique)

Xavi (Thiago/Versatile Midfielder/Guddy) Toure (Busquets/Versatile Midfielder) Iniesta (Keita/Thiago/Hleb)

Lionel Messi (Pedro/Hleb/Iniesta/Bojan) Samuel Eto'o (David Villa/Thierry Henry/Bojan David Villa (Bojan/Thierry Henry/Iniesta/Hleb)
I think the versatile Midfielder should be Felipe Melo because he is a great passer and shooter but if not, then buy another DM and move Toure further up the field. I think that with this squad, we can still destroy any team including Real Madrid.

Im not really sure, but do we need more CBs? I mean with Henrique set 2 come back, one or two of the youth products ready, this move seems like a waste of talent. Im sure we can find a use for a young brazillian talent striker instead of sending him away!

And again.......
So what abt that Villa+Loan of Keirrison and Caceres deal ?

loaning Keirrison to another league and that too for a defender from is madness !
What is the whole point of buying keirrison then ?
We might as well hav kept him in Palmeiras itself.

I would guess that Alves is not going to end up in our squad because Marca is reporting that Madrid is interested, too. I'd imagine that they are starting a bidding war...

@Engineer

that article doesn't say anything special...Ribery didn't deny that he wants out and he wants to go to Madrid...but this week he said he doesn't have to leave by any means and that he can consider to remain a Bayern player. He said if there is an official offer, it needs to be talked over but that he doesn't want to force his way out.

But he prefers Madrid...thats clear (not from this article but he has said that multiple times).

To be honest I have already given hope on G. Milito resuming his playing career in Barca. I heard he just had another surgery at the beginning of this summer. So it is reasonable to sign a CB.
