Barcelona still trying to sign Robinho

British tabloid The Daily Mirror claims that Barcelona is still interested in Manchester City left winger and Brazilian international Robinho (25) (read more here).

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would have earlier this week been trying to contact Manchester City manager Mark Hughes by phone in a bid to convince Manchester City to sell Robinho.

Although both coaches had reportedly chatted at the Camp Nou before last week's Joan Gamper Trophy game and Guardiola was then told there was no chance of Robinho leaving, a well known intermediary would have suggested that the English club could sign Arjen Robben and told Barcelona that Robinho would be willing to move. Sources at Manchester City would nevertheless have said to the tabloid that their transfer activity for this summer is over.

Guys,is Higuain better than Bojan?

Old news, Kikkeladwe. We knew that from yesterday. And I like it becayse that seriously weakens madrid. Robben coming off the bench would have been a serious threat.

We sure could leave another winger, but it just won't happen because we don't have the money for it. A loan would be the only option.

Higuain is obviously better than Bojan... For now and would be for few more years until Bojan gets matured to be a nice striker as he was hyped to be... I hope it does happen :)

No!!! Robinho is selfish and a big flop in Man City, he started the season well but flopped afterwards. He never passes and keeps on trying to show off. And he flops when he is actually trying to get pass a player.

could get sick by thinking bout robinho as an option.
hope that this is only a false rumour, as i was never a fan of this diving baby-boy-toy.
bout bojan, for me at the moment, many are better than bojan, as he has to become a man and leave the boy behind, something robinho has also never did at his age now too.
bojan is talented and was incredible as a youth-player, he's still young and has time, but wish for him and us, that he makes the next step now to become someone who can turn games by goals and not only by good dribblings from time to time.
but as said, he's still young and has time to improve, but needs also enough playing-time, what seems he will get maybe this season

To bad he´s not coming. Robinho to Barca would almost make our squad perfect.

We should sign Mancini on loan... No additional transfer funds should be spend

Does anybody know what would be Chyhrynskiy's jersey number??

Obviously fake.

Robinho wouldn't be that bad as Robben, most selfish player in a while. But still he's too lazy. He was once best RM's player, but the stupid fucks let him go. Maybe Pep thinks he can make him work.

Higuain is the only RM player that I like. Would be great to buy him, but that's very unlikely.

Probably the part where it says "Guardiola called..." instead of Txiki gives it away as a baseless rumor and another shitty figment of English imagination.

Btw, i wouldn't actually mind it if we get him at a bargain and if he's willing to come off the bench. Robinho's been known to make foolish decisions in the past and I hope he makes one for our benefit too.

The only Madrid player I would buy is Iker. Robinho, I would definately consider him. If he were to come to Barca he would have allot to prove and would be highly motivated to smash Madrid.

Ribery would still be my number one choice but we'll see what the season brings. I am sure there will be players that will step up and others that will fail. You never know in 12 months time Ribery may not be as good as he is now.

I also like Mata but would like to see how he matures this year. Bojan will come good. He has fantastic pace and a good eye for goal. We just need to be patient with him and let his confidence grow.

Robinho sucked in Confederations cup...no need for him

Robinho and Ribery would be very expensive, although I'd prefer to see Robinho at Barca. I don't see any of these transfers happen this summer (I mean next 4 days) especially not in the winter transfer market.
Right now I see Luis Suarez as perfect replacement for Henry next season. He started well (great) this season and already stated that he'd like to join Barca as soon as he can (not this season).
Also, if JDS, Thiago or any other Cantera product fail to impress it would be nice to sign Affelay which will fill the gap when Gudjohnsen leave.
In the end, a word about Chygrynskiy... it was very unnecessary buying. But I hope Guardiola knows better.
