Youth - Official: Valles to NAC Breda

Dutch club NAC Breda has last week officially announced the transfer of Barcelona Juvenil A attacking midfielder Enric Vallés (18).

Enric, who convinced the NAC staff during training sessions and a friendly match against Blackburn Rovers (read more here), signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year.

Dutch local newspaper BN/De Stem claims that NAC hasn't paid Barcelona a transfer fee but that the two clubs have agreed on a formation fee, that will probably consist of a percentage of the later transfer fee.

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona didn't include a buy back clause in the deal and will receive 20 per cent of the fee if Enric is transferred by NAC.

In an interview with the club's television channel, Enric showed his satisfaction about the transfer: "My first impressions are very good. I'm very happy that I have signed for this club. We'll see how everything will go from here but I'm very motivated to work hard and have a good season."

Dutch club NAC Breda has confirmed that Barcelona Juvenil A attacking midfielder Enric Vallés (18) is on trial these days. The player has been offered to NAC by his agent Rob Moore.

Enric arrived last week in Breda, where he trained two times with the local youth and played a friendly game on Saturday. Since Monday he's training with the first team. NAC will probably decide today if the club wants to sign the player.

Ivan Modia, Enric's other agent, confirmed to Dutch local newspaper BN/De Stem that several Italian clubs are also following the player. Because of his love for Barcelona, the Catalan midfielder refused earlier this summer an offer from Real Madrid.

NAC Breda sports director Earnest Stewart says that NAC could see Enric as an option for the future: "He's certainly not someone who can be a regular next season but he could be a reinforcement for the future. We'll make a decision on that in the coming days."

Enric says that he certainly would be willing to stay with NAC: "I have to be honest and admit that I had never heard of NAC, but my first impressions are very good. For my develoment as a player I think it would be good to come to Holland. Young players get more chances here and in general teams play good technical football, which suits me."

The paper reports that during his first training with the team an NAC defender kicked Enric under the grass after the youngster had been been showing off during a position game holding the ball in the air five times.

Ex-Barça: Henk ten Cate dismissed by Chelsea

Former Barcelona assistant coach Henk ten Cate (53) has yesterday been dismissed by English Premier League club Chelsea, who he joined in October last year as assistant to manager Avram Grant. The Chelsea manager had to leave the club last weekend.

The dismissal was announced in a statement on the club's offcial website saying: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm we have terminated Henk Ten Cate's contract today. This follows a meeting this morning. As a result of the team management changes at Chelsea FC, and in the light of any forthcoming appointment, it was clear this was the correct decision for all parties."

Henk ten Cate was the first assistant of Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard between 2003 and 2006. He arrived from Dutch club NAC Breda where he was head coach. Three years later, Ten Cate left Barcelona to become the manager of Ajax Amsterdam. With Barcelona, Ten Cate won two consecutive Spanish league titles in 2005 and 2006, ons Spanish super cup in 2005 and one Champions League in 2006.
