With the first Liga round completed, Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo evaluated Barcelona's coach and players individually.





Keita: Growing
He began disoriented "because at Barcelona the ball runs while in other teams you run". He got more confidence with his goals against Recreativo, Getafe and Villarreal. Very complete player, theres more to come from him.

Xavi: Skillful
The player that has given most passes that turn to goal in the Liga (9). With Pep he playes closer to the box, where his class permits him to connect with Messi, Eto'o and Henry. He takes more risks than ever. And he enjoyes it more too.

Gudjohnsen: Reanimated
He was already preparing his suitcases when Guadiola told him he counted on him.
The Icelander got his energy back and put on some remarkable performances, including starting in the "classico".

Iniesta: Interrupted
Brilliant until he suffered from a muscular injury that kept him out for two months.

Guardiola: Visionary
He took very risky decisions before gaining the confidence of all: the reassignment of Samuel Eto'o, Messi's Olympic games, the faith put into Sergi Busquets, the insistence in Thierry Henry, a tough internal code... Valdes: Secure

Alves: Cheap
The most expensive defender in the history of Barcelona has turned out to be a bargain. His association with Messi is priceless, his physical leaves an impression and his quality is undeniable.

Puyol: Gigantic
