Trezeguet could join Barcelona in the summer

Italian sports paper Tuttosport claims that Juventus forward David Trezeguet (31) could join Barcelona in the summer.

Because of a bad relationship with Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri and the strong competition, Trezeguet will be sold at the end of the season. Besides Barcelona, Olympique Lyon is said to be a possible destination.

I like Trez but his opportunity to join Barca is long gone. He is to old and too slow. As 'Knives' would say, 'we don't need another Grandpa' lol. Even if Eto'o leaves there are better options than Trez i.e. Put Henry as a striker and buy Ribery to play on LAM. I also like Kerrieson of Palmeras. He looks an amazing talent.

trez is never an option for barca, even now that we are managing someone like eto'o,why thinking of geting trezeguet?i think the best option we have if samu goes is to get villa,or ribery so that henry and bojan can be our striking option.keirrison is good but can never be a stater for barca at this time .may he come to learn and in the next two to three years.he compete with bojan for the famouse no 9 jersey.

I think Trezegol would be a good signing for any club in the world. I dont believe that he is "past it". He is one of those strikers that rely on being in the right place at the right time. His recent slump form is due to injuries and lack of match practice. Id much rather see Ranieri leave than Trezegol, a Juventus legend. FORZA JUVE!!! OUT RANIERI & SECCO

ps good luck Barca against Chelsea they knocked out Juve and i would love to see a non-english team win

Trez has fallen out with ranieri and i know we were interested in him last summer, if we could get him on a free transfer or maybe very cheap he could he a good pickup especially with etoo likely to leave for the ACN in january. The downside is that he has never really played well with henry for france. Their two styles dont really mesh very well. Also we should consider what role we want bojan to have next season. If henry leaves Trezeguet could be a good replacement

Why buy a striker who is 31 going on 32, retired from international football, recently had double knee surgery, and hasn't had first team football in almost a year?.... whe have a better chance using Gudjohnsen as striker... LOL

Trez a supersub like Larsson, that would be great. He's a better striker than Larsson was, but not as intelligent though. If Trez knows his place, that is that he would be backup rotation - and we get him very cheap - I say go for it. I mean the guy is experienced and has at least 1-2 seasons left in him. But this option would only be good if Eto'o stays and if we don't get a proper LWF. If we get for example Ribery than Henry would be a backup/rotation for both CF and LWF.

Maybe as the new Larsson...

the new Larsson... maybe.. My only worry is if we keep the current forwards and sign a new one, even as a supersub, who knows what will go through Bojans head. The kid is our future after all, not this frenchman.

End of the day, no thanks
