Spanish football site Airfutbol claims that Manchester United wants to sign Barcelona Juvenil A central defender Alex Bolaños (19) in the summer.
The English champions would have offered Bolaños, whose contract expires at the end of this season, to join their reserves team while they at the same time would look for a team for his brother Toni, who is now playing as midfielder with Sant Andreu Juvenil A.
Bolaños, who made his debut with Barcelona B last season, wouldn't exclude an exit, also because the promotion to Barcelona Atlètic doesn't seem easy because of the number of central defenders in that team. The centre back, who also can act as right back defender, has been part of Barcelona's youth academy for eight years. Over the last two weeks, Bolaños has been training twice with the first team (read more here).

Keep him and promote him!
Pique can give him a good advice:)
We need to get used to the fact that we will lose lot of our youth products. I hope we can keep the best of them. But Barcelona Athletic players will put lot of pressure this summer, and I expect lot of them to leave. The same go as you go to the rest of the youth teams.
Another option could be to loan him out to another club to gain experience like Crossas at Celtic with a buy back option or a percentage of future sale. We should not be losing these talented young kids for nothing. It is unfair that teams like Arsenal and Man Utd don't invest in their youth system and steal talented youth players from other clubs 'without' their consent and goodwill.
If Barcelona Atletic promotes, that would be a stimulation to stay, I'm sure. But you cannot keep them all (as some people apparently want), some will leave.
I don't think it would be a disaster if we loose him, we've got some other talented guys for that position, like Muniesa, Terron or Blanchart, even though I hope he stays.
Looking at how Pique turned out, I'm content with him being loaned out for a year or two to an English club. No to Germany, Spain, and Italy though. We need Spanish positioning and English power.
