Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker and Israeli youth international Gai Assulin (18) could take part in the pre-season of the first team in the summer.
Gai, who turns eighteen today, will obtain the Spanish nationality before the start of the summer, which will allow him to switch between the first and the second team from that moment on. The player's current contract expires in the summer of 2010 but it is expected that the deal will be extended soon.

Great news we now have a front line with messi etoo henry and backups of bojan gai hleb not to mention pedro and jeffren waiting too. I hope pedro and jeffren chances to shine next year. I think they can fill in and would be more willing to take a bench role if hleb doesnt want it
This could give us a lot of options.
For instance, we can bring back Crosas, buy Zhirkov; play Iniesta on the LW and ease Pedro and Gai slowly into the team. The more players we have from the cantera, the better.
But to do this the team will have to win trophies this year, so that we gain an aspect of self-sufficiency with the current squad and further investments are not deemed necessary.
AMEN
Bring him on!
But! we can't have Pedro,Jeffren,Bojan,Gai and then maybe Ribery on the team.. no play time at all 4 the new ones.
Send out Jeffren out on Loan with maybe Bojan or Pedro to a midlist club like valladolid or some.
Where they can get some regular playtime and get some experience.
