Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo reclaims that, without surprises, Barcelona won't sign another player during the summer transfer window that closes today.
Since Barcelona hasn't been able to sign Guardiola's first choices Robinho and Mascherano for the left wing and the defensive midfield positions, the B plan would be to count on the youth players and the club won't try to improvise some last-minute transfer.

I won't be surprised if Pedro gets more playing time than Henry this season, because Henry no way looks capable to handle one more year at top-flight Barca-level. But at the same time I'm scared Pedro cannot repeat even the half of Henry's performances last year :(
I agree that we need a LW and their are other options than Robinho, but it´s to late now. I dont have much confidence in Pedro just because he have played well in the pre-season, it was he same with G Dos Santos last season and I think Dos Santos is more talented than Pedro, regarding the DM we can wait untill the transfer window opens again in january but we need a LW now
I think Henry is looking forward to move on perhaps to the MLS . He accomplished what he wanted : winning the CL and that was the reason he came to Barça in the first place . I think he will have an average or forgettable season with an injury here and there . We need a LEGITIMATE LW now more than ever !!
Last season we had just 2 more players in the squad than the present number and they are Hleb & Guddy for you. I agree they haven't done any thing noteworthy and we are better off without them. But at least there was some required physical presence from them, and never mind their experience compared to the fringe players that we are going to promote in to the team instead of those two players. And MOST importantly, we had been VERY VERY lucky with injuries last term which is a luxury I don't think we would be enjoying this time around. Every team that we would be facing would park buses all around and won't back down from playing as much physical as they can. And more over Puyol, Marquez, Henry,etc are not getting any younger. Henry could not recover from a knock that he picked up against Madrid back in May!
Didn't Txiki feel that one of Luis Suárez, Arda Turan, Moussa Dembélé, Balázs Dzsudzsák, Ibrahim Afellay, Alessandro Amantino Mancini(available for loan!), Di Maria & Mesut Özil would have provided the required depth for the squad!?! Except Mancini every one of them is one for the future having gained some experience already. I don't understand this. When Txiki could sign Keirrison, Henrique for future some where from Brazil, why not consider these players who already have some experience even in Champions League! Agree you would say signing one of these would hinder the development of Pedro & Jeffren, but we were ready to sign Juan Mata for fuck's sake
There's nothing we can do it now so we have to stick with these players till the transfer window opens again

May be the ideal solution would be to start Pedro in all the matches against smaller teams and bringing on Henry as the super-sub. Pedro would gain his experience and Henry gets his rest that he needs at his age
have faith in the youth. i believe in thiago n JDS. we cannot complain now. we shud accept it. cesc stated for arsenal at a young age. y not thiago or JDS. they showed composure n skill in the gamper.

Henry is a youngster compared to for instance Larsson when he was in the club. I think Henry can be as good as last year, and he was really astonishing last year, remember? But we need to be lucky with injuries, I agree on that.

Fab started for Arsenal at a very young age, but what did he or Arsenal achieve during that time? Nothing! Do you want the same thing to happen with us?!?

Oh come on! Henry is aging. We counted on Larsson only as a super-sub., not as a main starter. But yeah any team with Messi, Ibra, Xavi, Iniesta & Yaya Toure won't be aiming just for La Liga. But I couldn't care less. Don't sky your hopes guys. I would be more than happy if we won La Liga & reach semi's of CDR & UCL. To win Champion's League, one needs a LOT of luck. Like we had with injuries last season, the injury-time equalizer by Iniesta; and hoping that we would have similar luck AGAIN would be just too much. Just winning the La Liga would be like slap in the face of Real Madrid, it would be a win for Football against the Mafia-Signings of this crazy business world who don't care for nothing except winning.
I won't be hoping for any thing more than La Liga, and I think winning a bit more than this would be like Icing on the Cake :)

the prob will be in jan when we will be missing players due to ANC and injury will strt to occur and champions league knock out stages in feb so big matches...
we would have to buy atleast two players then LW and mids... hope trixi and pep short list the players needed before hand so we could get them as early as we can in jan !!!
we are aiming for four more trophies - its as simple as that. dont worry guys, we have good depth. caceres replaced by chiggy who wont play in CL, but then, nor did caceres. hleb and guddy useless, will probably be replaced by thiago and jonathan, and in a far more able fashion. messi is even better than he was last season. pedro is impressive, we seem to have another busquets on our hands. speaking of which, busquets has also matured a lot. xavi is the same, ibra is better than etoo and well...you get the point.
