Medical: Possible knee injury for Ibrahimovic

Swedish tabloids Expressen and Aftonbladet claim that Barcelona player Zlatan Ibrahimovic (27) has suffered a minor knee injury during Monday's league game against Sporting Gijón.

Bacelona's medical staff would have sent a medical report about the injury to the doctors of the swedish national team asking them to examine the injury.

Barcelona didn't confirm the injury but reportedly wants the player, who will be doing individual recovery exercises, not to take part in Sweden's World Cup qualifying game against Hungary next weekend.

Medical: Maxwell out with quadriceps contracture
Medical: Bojan out for 15 to 20 days
Medical: Iniesta to get green light soon

What about selecting one day every week where no one nag or whine? Just pick a day, Sunday, Monday,…

It’s getting boring, and irritating.

He's not really that injured. It's just a way of putting pressure at the national team of Sweden to not play him excessively. The club knows how important this period is for Zlatan and he simply cannot afford to get injured in a game not related to Barca.

No worries. Ibra and Ljungberg (when he played for the Sweden) were always injured when they were to play with Sweden, making them rest almost every friendly. But then we the big games came they were always on the pitch and never had any problems.

Ibra will play AND score against Hungary this saturday.

No more whining and moaning please. Support our players, support our project, support Barca! Ibra will be fine, and we have Henry as striker too. Calm down, enjoy our play and enjoy the magic of Barcelona! Enuff!

Ackording to Sydsvenskan (a regional swedish newspaper) Zlatan has been x-rayed and examined and there is no serious injury to report. He has some pain and it is not certin that he will play angainst Hungary. One option seems to be painkillers, but only if there is no risk that the injury gets worse. Personally, as a swede, I think that he should not play if he expirence pain. That would only make him cautious and thus less good on the field. However, if he thinks he is up fore the challange he should play. It is a very important game for his national team.

If i say i like Villa.You say go support Valencia.If i say i like Ronaldo you would say i'm a traitor and ask me to support Madrid.C'mon guys.You honestly think we are the team that has the best players in their own positions just because we won a treble. The fact is Ibra is never a better player than Villa or Torres.

And the youth academy is not as good as Iniesta's era nowadays.Admit it.They are not 1st team material.I mean who can replace Henry?our youth?who can replace Messi?Ibra?Iniesta?No one is promising enough.If they were they shouldve been promoted when they were 17-21.

Btw,Pedro and Jeffren is not a Youth player anymore.

you are right tengkuamir(ru from asia?) regarding ibra not a better player than villa and torres..i wouldve prefered barca to buy villa or torres in the summer and with ibra's pricetag we couldve definately gotten villa.torres wont leave liverpool so no point.
however we dont need superstars at every position to be good or to win a treble.we have our own style of play which noone can copy(arsenal). and we have a chemistry in the team..
i only think that we need a world class and a proven striker because we need to score GOALS! we already super players who can give a striker a good service so we just need a clinical and complete striker like torres and villa

@Ramzi,

I'm the anonymous that got pissed off when you deleted the comment on that Madrid article. If your explanation here is correct, then I apologize for the things I said.

As for this article, Henry was in the same situation few days ago!

Tengku: You must be the most disloyal fan I've ever come across. You might have your favorites, like everyone of us do, but no need to brag about how this or that player would have been better and taking advantage of Ibra while he picks a minor knock. The transfer window closed, so until at least January, lets enjoy the worlds most entertaining football club. Its time you grow up and if your a Barca fan, then please support the club!

@Anonymous

The comments that he deleted accidentally were mine, not yours, which were intentional.

As a regular user of blogspot and having moderated multiple anonymous comments on a number of number of occasions, I find this explanation rather suspect.

to all who are reading!!!! stop accusing ibra with such a foolish words like lazy,selfish,looser!! he is a top class player, and not waiting for u to doubt it!!! forget about the fact that he is replacing eto... etoo has his era in barcelona and it is finished, no more of him..last season if etoo was in a different club he wouldn't even touch the ball, he would run like a fool on the pitch as he did alot in last season games and no one can deny this!!!! but now we have ibra,if u r a truly barca fans u wouldnt pressure ibra and stand against him! we all know who is ibra before he joined barca.. he can put his style and glamorous into barca football philosophy and prove himself big time. just needs time and support. i believe who ever is trying to distract the image of ibra with his\her comments has nothing to do with catalunya and barcaaa.. stop being so shallow ppl.. u r just losing time writing no sense about ibra,waiting for him to touch a ball and then write stupid comments. for God sake, i wish he starts his season and his show and throw shit in all the shitty mouths that have talked about him!!!
